The problem with 3rd party ANYTHING is they tend to be a bit off in terms of color matching to the main product. A bit off in terms of the build quality against the originals and the fit and finish aren't always satisfactory. They tend to have that "knockoff look and feel".

I wish Sony would offer official original replacement cushions for my MDR-1As. I paid 20 Euros for cheap knock offs that look and feel like trash. No way Apple is making these for $5.
Blue airpods max with black cushions is a 👌 combo.
If you are changing the cushions because you want a different color..... I guess the $69 is what it is, Apple tax.
I do feel bad for those that need to replace them because of damage or wear, $69 seems excessive.

1. You must have never used an Apple TV remote. Straight rage upon picking it up, for me at least.
2. I love my AirPods Max, and most of the people that have them also love them.
3. The reviews have been great, especially since this is their first attempt at competing with Sony, Bose, B&W in regards to over-ear ANC headphones.
4. The fact that they’re still heard to get speaks for itself.
5. Why did you return yours? What didn’t you like about them?
6. I HATE having buttons on my devices. Having to do finger gymnastics to switch settings etc is a terrible experience.

Yes, thing is they think they are perfect so they thought their software was going to be perfect as well. Big mistake.
It'd be cool if Apple offered a discount if you swapped your old cushions in.

Facts: If you set your AirPods Max down and leave them stationary for 5 minutes, they go into a low power mode to preserve battery charge. After 72 stationary hours out of the Smart Case, your AirPods Max go into a lower power mode that turns off Bluetooth and Find My to preserve battery charge further.
