(before you go off, i actully wanted to see it at 1699 at least for the base model)

.95" thick! wow.... will it even fit the hitachi 500GB HD then?? likely not.. glad for my ol 17 mbp now... looks like the hd is easier to replace if i'm not mistaken though... and the environmental stuff is good as well

Funny how absolutely everything people said were fake and everything people said Apple wouldn't do is 100% true and is happening.

Lots of people are going to commit suicide today.
:p

Say wha????? How many GPUs do I really need, Jobs? Lot of weird is goin' on. It looks like a lot of rumors are holding true so far.

The point of switching between integrated and discreet graphics is to give you the option for better battery life when you don't need the dedicated graphics, while being able to get additional power for the times you need it (playing a game, etc.).

It's a little more unusual on a full-sized notebook, but Sony has been offering this kind of concept for a while now on the S/SZ/Z series of Vaio laptops, for the same purpose (better battery life vs. better performance).

I didn't see ANYTHING regarding screen type (matte, glossy). That leaves me to believe both of these options are still available.

No more 17"?

And I think they removed the full DVI for mini DisplayPort so they can use HDMI or something else in the future. Of course, it is another expense.

Macbook Air

Ok, now $2499 sounds AWEsome with a 128GB SSD! That's pretty fantastic actually.
