I wish Apple would just let me pay with my Dutch creditcard for my US Account. The fact that there are accounts restricted to countries is still a wonder to me. Or let me just switch, but let me keep everything.

What is the difference between ITunes card, Apple ID cash and Pay Cash when you double press sleep button? I remember several years ago having money in iTunes card and unable to use it with Apple Pay. That left me confused and I honestly never tried it again.

Not worth it when iTunes cards are frequently available for 15-20% off.

Exactly what I was thinking. When I clicked on the email to see the "bonus" I just chuckled and closed out of the app.

It's much better for the consumer to wait for sales when iTunes cards are 15-20% off.

Nice deal, though I still have plenty of credit left over from the various 15-20% off iTunes cards sales around last Christmas.

In a way you can see this as Apple giving back some of the cut they take from app sales.

For those of us with $9.99 2TB and Apple Music, it's "free" money. I only got the $25 this time. Last time I did the $50.

Didn't even know that my Costco membership would get me "discounted" iTunes gift cards. That said, my Apple Barclay's card gives me 3x the points on Apple products - I usually use that to either pay for Apple subscriptions or buy iTunes gift card balance increases.

Cool.

Funds can be added to your Apple ID account by opening up the Settings app, tapping on your account name, selecting the iTunes and App Store option, choosing your Apple ID, and then selecting "Add Funds to Apple ID."
Not that I was going to do it, but that option is not there for me following the path above.

When I tap on my Apple ID, I just get the options View Apple ID, Sign Out, iForgot and Cancel.

how come Apple can give 10-20% discounts?
With Apps costing $1 , there is hardly any discounts to be given.

Why add funds when everything is IAP garbage now? Honestly, can anybody remember the last time the community as a whole got excited about a game let alone an "app"? Apart from a few vital apps like youtube and google maps, Spotify and dropbox ( which you get on any platform these days), I don't see much else worthy of my money in the mobile space anymore.

10 years ago I was flinging money at Apple and developers, now, I spend maybe $5 a year?

In Germany you get 15% Bonus!
Limit 100 Euro. But I think it's great.

In Germany its 15% and up to 300 Euros.
Wrong. Limit 100 Euro. One time.

This promotion is to add funds to your Apple ID, which can then be used on anything: to pay your annual Apple Music subscription, your monthly iCloud Storage bill, and for buying movies, TV shows and music; it's not just about apps.

I recently added £200 (£220) to mine, and got quite a few good films at £2.99 in their recent promotion, and it also meant my monthly iCloud Storage plan was basically 10% cheaper for a few months.

I imagine if Apple cured cancer and charged a one-time fee of $100 for the medicine, people would still find a way to complain about it.

You're right; It doesn't really matter the topic or position that Apple takes, e.g., "Bad Apple isn't updating the laptops often enough!" OR "Evil Apple updated the laptop too soon and screwed those who bought it recently." LOL.

That's not how this works folks.

What about those of us who top off our iTunes account with gift cards because we don't want a credit or debit card attached our account?

You have a good imagination then because the likelihood Apple would charge only $100 for anything is magical thinking.

If I’m part of a family plan and I add funds, will the credit get used when someone on the family plan makes a purchase?

Each member's purchases will by default be charged to the organizer's credit/debit card on file, unless that member has Apple Store credit. Then it will default to that. This is the same for the organizer as well. I don't know why Apple does it like this but that's how it works. So gift cards for the family when they go on sale.

Just one question (I am clueless):

Is the money, once posted to the account, refundable? (That is, can it be withdrawn?)

No.
