So the greatest and latest till a day ago, is already trash now.
Why so sedate? Couldn't you be a little more sensational? Adding a TC needs to be fired would go a long way as a crowd-pleaser.

And it would bring many more users to the Apple system who would not be able to afford first hand purchases. Why would anyone ever use their trade-in service. A private sale would yield substantially more cash in hand, to put towards the replacement.
I've had people on eBay offer me like 50% of my list price on items. Like come on, I may be willing to haggle a little but that is ridiculous. And then I fear selling to those people even if they bring up the offer substantially, because I assume they'll cause problems due to paying a lot more than they originally planned to.Plus buyers always try and beat you down on price.

Yeah 512 8gb version is 590. I’ll stick to using a dongle for thatFor MBP M1 (256GB, 16GB) model trade-in value is £570. That's just terrible.

Thanks for the tip but yeah bottomline is, eBay is full of scammers and eBay protects them by ruling against sellers most of the time even if you show ample proof. It is a very risky idea to sell expensive items there.bay automatically lets people make an offer up to 50% less unless you change the setting. I've had scammers offer me 30% more than the Buy It Now price.
For Macs, I agree. With the iPhone 13 launch, with the carrier promos it was basically a wash between a private sale and a trade-in.Why would anyone ever use their trade-in service. A private sale would yield substantially more cash in hand, to put towards the replacement.
I have had good luck selling devices (iPhones, iPads, Macs) on Swappa. This x 1000.
eBay will always side with the buyer so it is very easy to get scammed there.
I am also seeing $620 for the base m1 MBA. If I see $1k, ill probably go for the base 14.For fun I checked my 2 systems out....What I don't get...trade in values provided...
M1 Air 8/256 Cost 999 trade in value. $620 62% of purchase cost
M1 Pro 16/1T Cost 1899 trade in value. $900 47% of purchase cost
Agreed. I'm keeping my M1 MBA. If it suits your current needs then why pay for overkill?Don't forget the M1 MBA is still plenty good and beats the pants out of most laptops of similar price range.

Maybe there are too many M1 iMacs in the refurb store? It’s frustrating that I can’t trade my iMac M1 towards a MacBook Pro. I was ready to scale to the mobile screens…
