How do I get on this mailing list of preferred customers?! Or is it going out to developers that have already been enrolled in the program.
I got the email probably because I signed up on the Vision Pro page to be notified about the device. Though to be fair I get emails from them about everything they sell so I probably would’ve gotten it as well.

I'm sure it's cool, but since I don't ever plan on buying one -- unless the price dropped significantly -- I don't really see the need to demo it. Especially considering Apple stores are already filled to capacity with people, which makes me hate entering one.

I will wait for the release version where you (I) can keep your (my) glasses on, if it gets done.
Highly doubtful this will ever happen. Space for glasses means that the headset lenses need to be further from your eyes, which means they need to be bigger for equivalent FOV, so you end up with a heavier headset with a center of gravity that's further away from your head (which makes it feel even heavier)

That almost reads as if you can pre-order an appointment for a demo, not the thing itself 🤔

I got the email and I never signed up for anything or expressed any interest (as I have no interest). I just assumed they are sending it to everyone.

Where and how does one sign up for a reservation? Will this be online on 2/2 or do I need to show up with the rest of the people hoping to buy one that morning and sign up in the store?

It's not clear from the email but I doubt they expect people to go to the store to sign up for a time and then have to return again later for the demo. So it will probably be an online sign up for those who received the invite.
