People really use Safari when we have Chrome and Firefox?
Yes. I came straight from FF on Windows to Safari on Mac and have had no problems with it. The day I do will be the day I will look into getting another browser.

If you care not for Safari, why even bother posting.

Requires restart... Grrr.

I wonder if I can run more than 100 tabs on a 3 year old MBP now.

was about to comment 'thats a really old laptop!'... then i realized my laptop is about 3 years old too. have they fixed memory/resource management in this version? kind of a annoying to scroll over to the Activities window and finding safari sucking up 2 Gigs of memory and 50% cpu

Firefox is bloated and Chrome is based on webkit. If you're using Chrome, you're using Safari. And now that there's add-ons for Safari; why use anything else?

i wish there was more add-ons, if they were to add more useful add-ons than alot of facebook helping add-ons i'd be game to ditch FF

I like the way Safari organizes bookmarks. I think it is way ahead of both FF and Chrome in terms of bookmark interface.

However

I have to say that I use FF instead of Safari as I have noticed Safari to be a bit temperamental on a Windows system. Stability comes first

Unless you are trying to watch video on the BBC web site.

I see various people reporting this - it seems to be those who are using the beta version of the flash plug in, rather than the current 'stable' build - 10.1.102.64 - no issues here at all since the update, iPlayer working just fine.

Is it a joke? Safari is the best browser i've ever used, Webkit (which use also Chrome) is fantastic engine. And yes i'm a little web developer too. Chrome is bugged as hell.

Why would I use that garbage when Chrome exists?

LOL, do you know Chrome is using an engine which has been improved especially by Apple thanks to Safari over these years. giant leap from the good old khtml.
Safari is faster, more stable than Chrome, extension are great to install... then is personal preference over look and usability. Calling Safari garbage show off you poor understanding of such things. I hope at least you bashed Explorer in the past since it is GARBAGE and the default browser of Windows ah ah ah. Even if safari would be wrost than Chrome and it isn't, it is the default browser, you have always choice.

Just a note... memory is eaten if available, it is good. Cpu usage works that way: 4 core 400% max, 2 core 200% max. probably you know it, just to be sure.

This is the first update from apple that is causing me trouble. Safari is now dog slow and doesn't fully load any of the web pages I go to... even macrumors.

The other issue is with my wifi. My mbp no longer can automatically connect to my home network even though it is still setup to do so in system preferences. I have to connect by hand.

Lets hope. I get about one a day caused by flash.

You guys should try the plug-in Click2Flash...I learned about it on here a few weeks ago and I haven't had a crash since. There were a few sites I avoided because I knew all the Flash would likely cause a crash...but since I installed Click2Flash, it really has made a huge and noticeable difference.
