You're arguing in circles. You responded to my post to an other user, I replied to you and now your post is simply ignoring the reasoning behind my post you could reply to. I could literally post my reply to the other user 2 posts up the chain to you here. You've literally closed the circle

What is the purpose of you budding into another conversation when you have no idea of the context? You just knock a conversation off topic.
Budding or butting? Either way I disagree with what you say. Considering the AirPods seems to be successful, I’d say your “opinion” is moot. (Or mute)

Anybody that is capable.

Tim goes around telling people about what values you should have, who does he think he is?

He should be removed if he does not understand what he is doing anymore which you can clearly see in the products.

If it’s waste of resources we want to eliminate, then the Mac Pro ought to be on the chopping board next. It’s a niche product category that will likely sell in small quantities and will never earn enough to recoup the R&D that went into it.

I only partially agree.
Mac Pro is a subsidized problem child, but it's still strategically important to keep the door open for "professional" users.

Looking forward to their room sized wireless charging everyone keeps talking about. Probably fry your cat.
Yeeeees.
U remember this LOL project (Disney Research)?

Totally disagree, Apple has lost focus and become disjointed with all their new ventures and it has clearly had an effect on their hardware design in regards to both innovation and quality.
You clearly don’t understand my post; there’s really there’s no point in quoting me if you’re not even going to try to refute the logical arguments I provided you.

“That’s all guys and girls, the famous pipeline is empty now. Let pull the plug on the MacPro too because we’ve waited too long and our customers have moved on. Besides that, our two year study showed there isn’t much money to be made. Instead we’re now transforming into financial and services. We see more opportunities for higher margins there and we don’t have to put in much effort to accomplish. Our main target will be the better situated customer who hasn’t much knowledge of technology. We have decided to dust off our old hardware, put in some new chips here and there and sell it as new. I’m very excited for the years to come and have much confidence in our talented workers who have been very successful exploiting new ways these past years to grab as much of money from our customers as possible”.

This post is at nearly 1200 replies in over 9 hours. What other posts have gotten this kind of response outcry? Seemed like people didn’t care about it at all or super hyped but now everyone has an opinion of Tim Cook and Apple as a whole off of one product cancellation. Unprecedented indeed.
Maybe it's the arrogance of Apple announcing something which they know doesn't work but they just assume they can make it work.

Or maybe it's selling a wireless AirPod case with the promise of a wireless Apple charger coming soon while knowing full well it's not coming but they don't want to disrupt any short-term sales leaving the customer feeling cheated.

I do believe that Tim Cook remains the best person to lead Apple.

When you look at the current business climate, there is literally nothing that companies like Microsoft or Samsung can do to threaten me as an Apple user. Rather, the biggest threats facing Apple today are forces like the FBI, Donald Trump and foreign governments. These pose significant risks that could derail Apple's business model overnight.

In this regard, Tim Cook is the steady hand that Apple needs to navigate these political challenges (can you believe that some haters would rather Apple be run by a loose cannon like Elon Musk?). I foresee him continuing to lead Apple for a good many years to come, and I can't think of anyone better suited for this role at this current time, given the challenges Apple faces.

This can’t of been easy for Apple to announce to be fair as there has been so much hype for the AirPower. But fair play to them for coming out and stating they have cancelled it after so long. I know for sure I’m disappointed but hey I’m sure they will come out with something else in the future just as good if not better.

And let’s be fair they aren’t the only company in history to announce a product that has then never seen the light of day. Get over it as if they had released it and it didn’t work as they advertised I’m sure you would of all been complaining then.

The market is flooded with low cost wireless chargers, who in in their right mind was going to pay what Apple was asking for this mat? That is likely to be a factor in the cancellation.

Regarding Tim Cook, he understands what the company is about and it culture, he’s taken Apple to another level. A new appointment could lead to another John Sculley situation and really scuttle the company. Folks, hate to tell you this, there isn’t another Steve Jobs, he’s gone, the best you can hope for is those he worked with and influenced.

This is why you don't talk about products until they are "ready" to be released. This would never have happened under Steve Jobs.
I am seriously not seeing the big deal behind this. Apple announced a product which will never get released. It's, to quote the haters, an overpriced wireless charger and one they were never going to buy anyways because they could already get an equivalent offering elsewhere for much less. If anything, they ought to be the last people to get all upset.

Yet now, this news is blood in the water for the haters because... I don't know? They have gone too long without anything to bash Apple and need to work overtime to meet their quota?

I have the iPhone 8+, just bought the AirPods with the wireless charging case, and plan to upgrade my Apple Watch when it gets refreshed later this year. I would have been the ideal candidate for airpower, and even I am ambivalent at best that it will now never materialise.

It is what it is. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Apple launches new product > quite a lot of hate
Apple cancels product > all hell breaks loose

Glad I a) don't care and b) didn't partake in the last couple of weeks of discussions. *returns to hiding* :D

The cancellation is maybe a blessing in disguise because instead of paying a lot of money for 1 airpower, once I discovered that apple cancelled it I bought 2 much cheaper wireless chargers - 1 for work and 1 for home so that I don't have to cart a charger around.

So for me it actually worked out better. I got 2 for much less money than 1. And I don't have to cart it around.

So am I upset about the cancellation? Well initially I was shocked like everyone else - but in the long term it's not so bad. So I'm not really upset.

So in the short term, yes all hell has broken loose in this thread.

But chill out. In the long term it's not so bad. There are many cheaper alternatives.

Apple may well have cancelled simply because they know that going for these cheaper alternatives is in the long run better for consumers than continuing holding out for the airpower.

You mean like the original iPhone, which was announced in Jan. 2007 almost six months before release? I also suppose that the round "hockey puck" mouse that shipped with the first iMac was "ready," but it should never have seen the light of day. Not that Apple's premature announcement of the AirPower was good, but it's not as if Apple didn't suffer from miscues under Steve Jobs.

At a time when Apple is building more and larger Apple Stores around the world, their product variety is getting smaller.
Apple might as well just open up Subscription Vending Machines.

Musk wouldn't be remotely interested in running Apple, he's busy solving real problems I'm not sure he would want to head up Apples second go at Newsstand, Oprahs Book Club and Apple Arcade.
