Personally I think they should wrap it up with season 3. Season 1 was a good Act 1, season 2 a perfect Act 2, and that ending is a great lead-in to Act 3. This kind of high concept project works best when it’s kept to a minimum. Wrapping it up in one more season would make for a great storytelling experience.

I watched a few episodes. I thought it was utter garbage. It feels like TV made for people who think they're smart - but underneath, it's just bland nonsense.

Yeah, minority opinion.
I tend to agree. I can easily list off half a dozen shows currently that are way better. It pales in comparison to HBO's top shows, and wouldn't be in the Top 50 best shows of all time, actually.

I think a lot of the people who like Severance are Apple fanboys who don't know how much better stuff is out there.

While I fundamentally agree that Apple should focus more on hardware, it's important to acknowledge that they have done some good work with services too. Apple TV+ has some great shows (I was surprised to find out), and a cleaner UI than Netflix IMO.
Then Tim should multitask !

A piss-poor take. It’s the only show talking about the working conditions in America right now.
Not sure if your comment is sarcasm or blissful ignorance?

Severance season 1 was amazing. Season 2 has dragged on for way too long and they lost the magic around episode 2 or 3. After having waited on the edge of my seat for season 2 to drop … I barely even care about the season finale. This show quickly became garbage.

I have apple tv + for no reason

What do you want, for the screenwriters and camera operators to start engineering and debugging iOS? They’re separate teams.
You mean they haven't been the ones working on the long promised new and improved Siri? You could've fooled me.

A lot of people these days have no patience. They need to be spoon fed everything and have it all spelt out very quickly.

If you’re equipped with a 30 second TikTok attention span, shows like Severance would be a nightmare to watch.

In saying that, I found the majority of season 2 to be less enjoyable compare to season 1. However in hindsight, it was required, I’m glad they did it, and it did answer a few mysteries.

I thought the S2 ending was fantastic. It was ironic that Cold Harbour’s purpose had a better test subject. Being vague to avoid spoiling things.

The show covers many interesting philosophical conundrum’s.

Excellent work.

It wasn't a nightmare, by any stretch, but I am getting really tired of the constant cliffhanger endings with every episode. Silo did the same thing.

...I think you need find a new job.

Yet to watch the S2 Finale but it all started very boring initially though the underlying work-life-balance concept was very intriguing. But some episodes have been dragging while some are good. I started feeling at some point, it was going nowhere but if you like very very slow paced drama, you may very well like it. The casting were good, acting was good by all, overall office setup and outside locations were good as well. Some characters like Milkshake and Gobel were bit creepy! Overall not bad.

I liked Silo as well.

Both had its high and low in many of their episodes. They need to milk as much as possible with the residual storyline after spending fortune in their production, hence many dragging scenes in both Web Series.

I don’t feel that every episode ended with a cliffhanger.

Most TV series season finals end on a cliffhanger. That’s nothing new. It’s set up that way so that you come back to continue the story next season. If a TV show loses viewers, it’s gonna be cancelled.

I enjoy Silo. Again season two was slow. But isn’t that the whole intent of building suspense, dropping some backstory so you know why characters behave the way they do?

Since the episodes come out once per week and are not bulk dropped like many Netflix shows, it allows for the audience to discuss each episode and question where things may go. You know, get people talking about it with your friends, colleagues and family.

I find that TV shows generally fall into two types of storytelling.
Some series are basically a single narrative like a movie spread over many seasons.

Or you have shows where each episode is its own self contained story, and perhaps there’s an overarching storyline that you get a little bit of in each episode or alternating episodes.

Most modern TV shows like Severance and Silo are clearly of the extended movie type.

There’s great content of both styles out there. Watch what makes you happy and enjoy it.

I'd rather have season severance 3, 4, 5, if one had to choose between this and an updated SIRI. They can hold off on siri till the next decade for all I care (market analysts think otherwise i'm sure).

Infact maybe they need Ben Stiller to direct the Siri efforts also, they may get somewhere.

I didn't start getting hooked until the fourth episode of season 1. I recommend watching more.
I found the vibe of the show to be contradictory, like it’s trying to settle into the late 20th century but something modern pops up randomly like a smartphone and startles me. I got used to it around the third or fourth episode and started enjoying it more after that. But IMO it would’ve been better if they just fully committed to having it take place in the era that best matches its aesthetic.
