Yet it went over your head. It’s included but only if Apple Music has it. Anything unique and not in Apple Music that u upload you need iTunes Match.
Apple Music includes iTunes Match, therefore,

"iTunes Match scans your iTunes library to catalog the songs in it. Apple's software then adds music you have on your hard drive library that's also available on iTunes to your account. It doesn't matter where that music came from—if you bought it from Amazon, ripped it from CD, or acquired it from another source. As long as it's in your library and available in the iTunes Store, it'll be part of your iCloud Music Library.
Apple uploads music in your iTunes library that isn't available in the iTunes Store from your computer to your iCloud Music Library. But it only does this with files in the AAC and MP3 formats."

Okay I am trying to figure my way thru how to implement Apple One with my son. He has signed up for the top plan and we would like to share with him. Presently, I have two ids, one for App Store and media subscriptions and one for icloud. My wife just uses my id that has all the media associated with it and then has her own id for iCloud storage, mail etc. Now I know that they made it possible for whoever signs up for the program to have two different IDs but what happens to us with our separate ids? When he invites us to join, does he invite the iCloud ID? if so how do we get to combine our music with Apple Music? If he invites my media id, How do deal with he iCloud storage issue so that we can have separate contact lists, notes, etc that are shared thru iCloud?

This whole thing has gotten very confusing. Thanks for any help.

i wish they would increase the icloud storage rates. I pay for apple music through my carrier, and 200gb of family icloud storage, so i don't get any benefit out of any of the deals, but i regularly have to go back and delete large video files to keep under 200gb.

Apple Music includes iTunes Match.
Are you sure? I’ve had an individual Apple Music account and paying for iTunes Match for a long time! So I’ve been paying $25 yearly for nothing?
Can you tell me where to look for these details?
Thank so much!

I know others have posted about stacking iCloud data plans, so now I can get 4TBs! That is awesome! Our photo library is almost 2TBs! But is $40 too much?! I also pay for Dropbox 2 TB. Man this is all getting expensive!

I have the same situation here. Probably just cheaper to keep my free Apple Music on the Verizon plan and continue to pay for the rest. I got Arcade free for 3 months with the iPhone 12. I was told by Apple support yesterday to wait and cancel the paid version the day before renewal then sign up for the free 3 months.
I was in the same situation. My wife and I both had Apple Music through Verizon. I changed her plan to one that was $10 cheaper. I changed mine to the one that includes the Disney+ bundle. We also paid for 2TB of iCloud storage. It works out for us.

Well, I debated whether to do this for a few days then tried all day Sunday and again Monday to sign up, but Apple won't let me. For some reason I'm being asked to verify my Apple Card info and I get error messages when attempting to do that on the iPhone and the iMac both. The iMac message is gibberish so I'm not sure what is going on.

Maybe this is a blessing to keep me from being impatient and wasting the free ATV+ until February. I plan to go Premier since it will only be pennies more than I will be paying for for family music, ATV+, and 2 TB storage (even though I don't really use the other stuff). I guess I will save enough by waiting to cover a trip to Taco Bell.

Amybody having trouble reallocating storage to a different Apple account? I choose the account, press, confirm and nothing changes. Not sure if its because im still on beta iOS14

strange as nobody else seems to have mentioned having this problem

So, like most of you, I'm trying to figure this out. My wife uses here ID for Apple Music. We signed up under her ID for Apple One Premier. Instantly, Apple Arcade and Apple News the entire family got an "invite". Nothing so far for the iCloud storage. Nothing about getting a refund for Apple Music or move over to the Apple Music now that it is on the Apple One Premier. When do we as the end user get notified on this.

Also, is there a process to "move" if you have extra iCloud space originally and now your moving over to an Apple One Premier iCloud? I have two plans for my college kids that I don't want to pay for if were using the Apple One 2TB iCloud. Anyone else know how that works to?

Apple One is not available here yet (it still says coming soon on my country's Apple One page). I can't find such options in Subscription. This article title is misleading!

Oh I didn’t know that. 🙄 Please search Apple Music USA to see if there is this Japanese album I uploaded to my Apple Music library a couple of years ago.
just use common sense a bit, what use uploading something that’s ALREADY in Apple Music?

I got a refund for my Apple Music payment that I had made the same day that I signed up for One
Hmmm, check your account. Mine also said refunded, but for instance, my Apple Music renewed 10/26, and they only credited 2.57 back to my account that is far less equivalent to a 5-day out of 30-day pro-rate

Ok cool .... mine showed immediately in purchase history
Did you receive those full refunds to your bank accounts? My Apple Music renewed on 10/26, I subscribed to Apple One 11/1, purchase history said $14.99 refunded Apple Music, actual credit to my account $1.57, definitely not a fair prorate.

Ditto! I've been paying for both Apple Music Family and iTunes Match.

Yep that went as well as I expected. Man I hate dealing with Apple support.

If you have Apple Music subscription, then you also have Itunes Match. If Apple Music doesn’t have your music then it is not matched, it is uploaded to the iCloud for download anywhere. At any rate make sure to back up your entire music library for safety. When i initially subscribed to Apple Music in Beta years ago, Apple canceled and refunded ITunes Match, and sent an email that it was included with Apple Music, thank you.

That is misinformation, when you sign up for AppleOne, Apple will automatically refund any services in your AppleOne subscription you are already paying for. Check your purchase history and you should see the transactions refunded. The CS reps are currently ignorant to this.

I wouldn’t be contacting support if I got refunds. I did check purchase history. Apple one premier purchased oct 30. News+ oct 28. Apple Music family oct 26. iCloud 2tb oct 22. Arcade on son (family) iPad.

None have refunds. Apple so far has refused to. Also cannot downgrade iCloud or even cancel it. So I show 4tb available.

I’ve seen peoples screenshots of their automatic refunds. No such luck on my end under purchases.
