So what’s the point of Apple offering free subscription promos if they’re not going to honour them in their Apple One plans? I got a free year of TV+ yesterday for buying a new iPad Air and then lost that free year today by signing up for Apple One? That makes zero sense to me

I think that’s the problem when people have multiple differing subscriptions floating around with different start and end dates, and Apple is trying to unify them under one umbrella.

There is no way Apple is going to refund anybody for a free trial which by definition did not cost them any money. I guess it’s just bad timing on your part at this point.

So, I have Apple Music through Verizon. I don't want to pay for Apple Music as part of the Apple One subscription due to my existing free subscription... Has anyone heard if Apple has a way to handle this?

I have similar dilemma. Me and my wife are on Verizon and receive free Apple Music (not trial) but our kids are on different plans (T-mobile and Xfinity Mobile) for various reasons and they don’t have it access to it. My older kid already pays for $9.99 for AM out of pocket, so at this point, I am tempted to say screw Verizon and just jump on the Family plan especially that I will be investing money in Home Pod mini for both of my kids. My other daughter is in that age range that would like to listen to her own music, so it makes sense. I would be happy if I could upgrade Verizon Apple Music to Family for $5 more, but that is not an option.

I am tempted to switch from Verizon and join ATT to get free HBO Max as that is more appealing to us than free Disney+, Hulu and ESPN. I am just too scared to do that hearing all the trade-in horror stories how devices get lost or end up with broken screen etc.

Nobody forced you to sign up ..... what should they have done ? Refund you for something you hadn’t paid for ? :)

Signed up for Apple One Premium, having already subscribed to Music Family, arcade & 200GB storage. Got refunds this morning for pro-rated previous services. That was nice.

My Apple Music subscription is paid through 11/20. I went ahead and did Apple One yesterday, which starts 11/30.

I haven't been refunded for the month of Apple Music I had, and Apple Support told me that on 11/20, I would be charged a prorated charge for the 10 days between that and the beginning of Apple One. The other option is cancel Apple Music on 11/20, and go without for 10 days until Apple One kicks in.

I mean, it's not much, but it definitely feels more than a little chintzy.

Exactly right. I think for a lot of us, it's going to be better to wait, since we're on free trials and subscriptions to other services. I love Apple but I don't think they thought this through entirely. Better to pro-rate everything so you're not actually losing value by signing up for Apple One now.

I'm waiting too. And even if I didn't have free trials and subscriptions to consider, I'd still wait because their fitness services isn't up and running yet. (Why would they even introduce the Premier package without it?)
Same. I only pay for music and 50GB, and only because they finally improved the music app. TV+ free until summer, and just upgraded to Watch 6, so 3 months free Fitness+.

However, I'm annoyed that they only include Fitness on the premier plan. I don't need family sharing. Hopefully they add an option for individual.

Planning to finally dump my annual Prime and just do Prime/Video monthly when I want it, like I do with everything else (except Netflix)

I just wish they'd let you pick and mix what you want. What I want is Apple Music, Apple News and ATV. Not interested in Arcade but the only way to include News is to subscribe to the Premium.

I can't sing up, the Apple One option doesn't appear on my subscriptions page. I have a 2TB iCloud account. Does someone have the same problem?
Try to downgrade iCould plan if it's possible for you. Try to cancel ongoing subscriptions to Arcade, TV, and Music. Wait some time. If it doesn't solve the problem for you then get to Apple Support.

Won’t let me downgrade iCloud. Press none for a downgrade option and nothing happens. Can’t continue it. Seems stuck.

Can’t cancel music and whatever because they’re not in subscriptions now.

Signed up for the Premier option yesterday. Haven't received any refunds yet for anything.

My Apple Arcade and iCloud subscriptions were charged earlier this month. Apple Music normally would have been charged yesterday, but that charge never came out and I still have access to it, so I don't think I need to keep an eye out on a refund for that. Apple TV+...I'm not currently paying for as I'm on the 1 year free deal, so no refund coming there (though I do know that trial will end when my cost for Apple One kicks in on November 30th). Since my Apple Music charge wasn't taken yesterday, I'm really only out $8 for the individual Arcade and iCloud subscriptions, which isn't a big deal. If I get it...great! If not...it's $8. Ehh.

For those who have gotten refunds, do you think there's maybe a "cutoff"? For instance, my Apple Arcade subscription is charged on the 15th. iCloud on the 2nd. Being that one has already been half of the month and the other has basically covered the entire month, that's why I'm not really expecting a refund.

Paying $10 monthly for 2TB iCloud Storage but prepaid through Sept 2021 on Apple Music and paying $3/mo for the LA Times. I guess I'll just wait until next year to see whats what. News+ looks good to me and TV+ is fine but they seem to just have original programming, so that's a pass for now.

Basically all the bases I could think of. My bank account, iTunes/App Store credit, and my account purchase history (through the account settings page in the App Store).

Can someone help me out here, if I go with the Apple One Family subscription is this a case of purchases having to be done through one card like Family Sharing?

Wife and I share Apple Music, $14.99.
We each pay $2.99 for 200gb cloud storage, $6.

$21 total. Not interested in TV or arcade.

For $1 less, we get things we don’t want/need and have to split 200gb instead of each getting our own 200gb.

Apple One is no go

So I already have the 2 TB iCloud plan. I’d like to sub to the Family bundle, but that only includes 200GB iCloud storage. How do I upgrade the bundle to 2 TB? After subscribing to Family bundle it shows my current iCloud storage as 2.2TB total. Want to just bump the 200 GB to 2 TB, not add it to the 2 TB I already have.
It doesn’t work like that. If you’re on the $20 Family plan, you can pay $10 for an extra 2TB. Or simply upgrade to the highest plan @$30 for 2TB, total.

If you’re sharing Apple Music with your wife, doesn’t her $2.99 200GB plan get charged to your credit card? Or does storage go under iCloud, hence you can have different Apple IDs used to buy each?

I got the Family Plan, but can’t really share Apple Music with my wife, as we both prefer to use our own cards (or Apple balances) for our own app and iTunes purchases.

Ah right. Strange they didn't update the website then.

Regardless, still not coming up for me in Singapore. No option under subscriptions.
Yes ... it seems that depending on the page you land on it still shows autumn availability..... it’s definitely available if you have a UK account because I’ve subscribed even though I’m not actually in the UK.

What? Me and my GF have family music and we definitely use our own cards for app and iTunes purchases. Just don’t enable purchase sharing.

If you have Apple Music family in plan you can share the music without purchase sharing. That’s what we do. Everyone in my family have they own credit cards. Works perfectly for us.
