While it's understandable that people want to be able to pick their services in these bundles, there's no advantage to Apple to offer discounts on things people are already paying for.

The whole purpose of One is to get people to buy into services they weren't considering before but will use if they have them.

I'm excited about the service. If anyone has a family group, it is likely worth it. We already do Apple Music, 2TB iCloud storage, and Apple Arcade ($29.97/month). We have Apple TV+ for free because of device purchases. We kind of wanted Apple News +, but didn't feel it's worth it. Now, with Fitness + on the horizon, the Premier option is a no-brainer for us - $0.02 more per month for everything I don't yet have.

I'm in a bit of a peculiar situation... I was thinking of sharing the Premium plan with my sister and mother, but their Apple IDs are Canadian, and mine is American (I moved to the US in 2013, but I'm in Canada at the moment, since because of the pandemic, I can't really apply for my Visa...)

I asked Apple, and they said I could create a second Apple ID for myself (Canadian) and switch between the two... but that seems like a big hassle, especially on iOS Devices (doesn't seem too bad on Mac or Apple TV, but constantly switching on my iPhone sounds tedious). Does anyone know of another workaround?

Hopefully this will become really customisable otherwise it's just a pain. I want to choose my iCloud space 200GB for family is defo not enough, and I don't need Fitness+ or News+ and to be honest I don't really care about Arcade either 🤷‍♂️

I doubt they will make it customizable. That would defeat their purpose.

MacWorld confirmed this to be true.

All Apple One plans, not just Premier, are eligible for supplemental 50GB, 200GB, or 2GB iCloud storage for $0.99, $2.99, and $9.99, respectively.

Apple has not confirmed whether existing iCloud subscriber can purchase supplemental storage, however.

Thank you so much for the information. I need more than the 200 g plan, so I won't save anything by choosing the Family plane + upgraded storage, vs. the Premier plan.

I don't own an apple watch, so the fitness app will not work as it is listed as a requirement. (I assume the watch is not optional, based on reading apple's fitness app pages) but if I decide to get one in the future I guess I will already have the service.

I have the feeling this isn't going to do nearly as well as they expect it too. I'm sensing a lack of customizability.
But hey, what do I know.
The same line of text every time Apple comes out with something new. It ends up being exactly the opposite. A success. Be real about it, Apple didn't become a 2 trillion dollar company by not knowing what they were doing.

Not sure what the point of this article is--it's the same information that we've had since the announcement. If someone could say when the bundle is available to order, that would be something.

According to this, you get all the features of iTunes Match in Apple Music:

People were discussing this when the One plans were announced here...it still seems like there’s a distinction between Match and Apple Music.....Match is providing a storage function for non-apple music stuff that has been uploaded from your collection...isnt that correct? I dont think Apple music does that...or am i wrong?

They are two different services. But if you subscribe to Apple Music, iTunes Match is included.

I really thought they’d try to make it equal or less than the cost of family music + max iCloud storage to get people to sign up to artificially boost the numbers of the other services.

I legit don’t know anyone that has any interest in tv+, news, or arcade.

That's usually how these bundles work isn't it? The more premium you get, the more stuff you end up getting that you don't necessarily need. For families tho, this is kind of a no brainer (at least to me).

Will people with Apple ID with different country settings i.e. one might be set to U.K. one might be set to U.S. be able to share the family bundle?

I have News+ - it works out as a deal since it covers two magazines my family would normally susbscribe to, and gives us access to a handful of magazines that aren't worth the cover price to us, but still have the odd good article. Arcade I can take or leave, but the people who like it, seem to really like it.

Oops.. you said setting. Yeah that should work accounts that are registered to different regions will be a problem, but just having your locale settings different won't.
