I am in a wheelchair rehabbing a broken leg. Even when I am out of this chair, I will never run a marathon, climb a mountain, swim an ocean, hike a rainforest, cross a desert, or explore the depths of any sea. Yet I insta-bought the Ultra to arrive on the 23rd. If an active person's batter lasts for 36 hours, mine will last for weeks. 😀 I clearly need a dive computer for those long evenings in the hot tub, that I don't yet have. I suspect I should be ashamed of myself.

Pulled the trigger on the Ultra. It’s the upgrade I was hoping for. Shipping isn’t until end of October so the wait is on!

How many 33 day off the grid trips did you make this year? The watches charge quick, too. It's plenty.
Saying that 18 hours is OK reminded me times years ago where friends that use Android phones tried to convince me that restarting phone a few times a week is OK for them. My answer was that I restart iPhone a few times a year. LOL.
Having 33 day of battery might look ridiculous but this would mean real personal freedom from technology limitations.

Are you guys even athletes? I don’t understand why you’d order the ultra?
You obviously have never been on a dive boat or hiked some flat trails. My guess is that you've probably never been at 14,000 feet altitude chilling down a bowl on a snowboard, either.

Doesn't take an "athlete" to own a product.

Suppose anyone that isn't a video or photography professional should never invest in a MacBook "Pro", either?

Why would anyone order a 8th gen watch with ONLY 18 HOURS battery? Jesus people wake up! My Garmin has 34 DAYS battery life. Hours people. Everyone just as blind eyed every year. Complaining about battery life and still ordering a new one?
I have a Garmin S62 for golf, and it does many other sports.

I only use it for golf because the software and OS is clunky and terrible. And for golf, my Garmin will get generally 3 rounds in, or about 15-16 hours battery life max with GPS.

Not blind at all.

Apple provides a product that FUNCTIONS absolutely brilliantly, at the cost of just under a full day of usage.
