Looks great!

There's quite a difference between meeting someone at Starbucks and spending $4 on a latte versus meeting at the Apple Store and dropping $1700 on a MacBook Pro, Angela.

In her world, a $1700 is spare change and $4. Look what she did at Burberry .
[doublepost=1495871490][/doublepost]It's a great looking store I must say

People still meet at Starbucks? I'm unconsciously avoiding all of them then as I never meet with my friends in a Starbucks.
We hang out where the coffee is good and the locals create a great ambience, and that is never a Starbucks.

I dont like that comparison...

glass... There is no better..

The other shot looks like a Google Doodle. Possibly a hint.?

All Starbucks locations aren't the same. Some are quite nice. Besides, most places don't have the options you enjoy in Brussels.

I can already see the tweets and Facebook posts come the new iPhone.
1. Singaporeans complaining about the mainland Chinese scalpers
2. Singaporeans complaining about the crowd/queue
3. Singaporeans complaining about the backorder

:D

Ultimately, Ahrendts hopes that the next generation refers to Apple as a meeting spot similar to the communal nature of a place like Starbucks. "Starbucks figured it out, you know? Being a gathering place for - right? 'Meet me at Starbucks,'" Ahrendts said. "And you know, I've told the teams, 'I'll know we've done a really, really great job if the next generation, if Gen Z says, "Meet me at Apple. Did you see what's going on at Apple today?"'"

Yeah, makes sense. Instead of "let's meet at a cafe where we can spend a couple of quid on coffee" people will say "lets meet a Apple where we can spend a couple of grand on a laptop". People think that way.

Apple's latest and greatest store...

...but they still connect the LG UltraFine 5K to Thunderbolt 2 Mac Mini and Mac Pro that can't render at 5K. What a stupid idea.

Oh, good. For a fast minute, I was worried I wasn't on MacRumors until I started reading comments on yet another ridiculous reason like an Apple Store opening to criticize Angela. The only other comments missing here are that Apple is doomed and Tim Cook makes Lucifer look like Santa Claus.

I think you need to take criticism of other people's ideas less personally.

There's quite a difference between meeting someone at Starbucks and overpaying on a latte versus meeting at the Apple Store and getting a free workshop, Westside guy.

Maybe I can combine all of those little boxes into something that would be at least semi comfortable and supportive to sit on for more than 5 minutes? Who on earth thought those things were a great idea? Maybe at their next board meeting Apple should ditch their cushy ergonomic chairs for some small wooden boxes?!

'encourage customers to be inspired by the products through Today at Apple'

Sounds like a load of baloney!

Isn't it funny? People loveee to exaggerate. These "next-generation stores" look incredible. Apple may not be the next Starbucks, but with all of the events going on with Today At Apple and the creative people involved, it's going to bring a lot more traffic to the stores.

You'd be surprised at how many people walk into a store, don't plan on buying something and leave with multiple items...

WWDC 2017 - introducing iCoffee! Apple's answer to Starbucks.

Then Jony would come on the big screen: Here at Apple, we are very particular about everything. That's why we designed a revolutionary coffee bean plant. It has a thickness of just 0.25 mm and a weight of 0.08 grams, the thinnest and lightest coffee bean in the world. It is carved out of a single aluminium block. Once brewed to perfection in our Apple Coffee Shops, you can taste the difference. Our revolutionary new design will allow you to sip and burn your tongue, and still taste the coffee rainbow. It's that marvelous.

Starting at $25.99 for a small cup. (Refills starting at $25.98).

Her quote reminds me of Ryan on The Office talking about Dunder Mifflin Infinity as a social platform.

edit: this one...

Dwight: I don't understand why our website has to have social networking at all.
Jim: Yeah, I actually have to agree with Dwight on that one.
Ryan: It's all about creating a one stop shop consumer experience, alright? You're chatting with your friends, you're talking about the latest music, about the election; all of it is happening in our virtual paper store.
Jim: And then an older gentleman asked you "Boxers or briefs?"
Creed: I don't get the big fuss here, I like the site.
Kelly: If I'd have created a website with as many problems, I'd kill myself.
Ryan: Do you have a question Kelly?
Kelly: Yeah I have a lot of questions. Number one, how dare you?
Michael: [slow clapping] Ryan has done a very good job, and I am not applauding sarcastically. Think about it, a month ago nobody would go on this site because we were worried about getting molested, or losing our identity, having it stolen. But now, at a time TDB, all of the problems will be in the past. Ya done good kid, ya done good.
