Doesn't the key line: "Solo2 Wireless offers the same dynamic sound" answer your question?

As much grief as the press, audio reviews and some of us have spun about the quality of Beats sound, you'd think Apple would at least notice. And, if so, you'd think they'd attack that key shortcoming right away. If these have the "same dynamic sound," either Apple is ignoring that issue or haven't got around to addressing it yet.

They don't.

they look like Solo 2 headphones, with a wireless badge.

So, to the exterior, pre-apple. The Bluetooth tech, maybe apple assisted.

Will have to wait for a whole new model to see how Apple influences the design.

I really hope the build quality improves. I'd love a design change too but they're popular for a reason so my guess is Apple won't change much. Just as long as they get rid of this:

Previous Beats bluetooth headphones have had apt-x. I wonder if Apple is going to keep this up with Beats and also add support to iOS.

Saw these in local story. Maybe next thing by dr.dre?

What's with the "wireless" sticker?... Doesn't the lack of wires make it obvious that they are "wireless"? Or do people cut the wire off the wired version and wear them around as a fashion statement?

Meh. For another $100 more, I'd rather have some P7s.

P7 are not wireless - so you should compare them to the solo2 at best. Perhaps for double the price the p7 are still worth it (they are very good), but it's not just a $100 decision.

Why no lightning connector?

I hate the MicroUSB connector.

Hopefully, the attachment for the lightning connector will come at a later generation. I can envision the lightning connector acting as more than just a simple connection for headphones.

My Audiotechnica ath-m50's will do.

Hey dont forget to pick up a Monster brand aux cable to go with these if you dont want to use wireless

Your m50s have a similar sound profile to the newest beats, with slightly better sub bass than these 40mm drivers. But yours have wires. These don't. Id still pick the m50 over the beats, but wireless is very tempting.

Apple trying get their 3 billion back

We're you expecting them not to release any new headphones? Or to try to make a loss on the acquisition?

Of course they are trying to get their 3b back. And then some!

My 50's were also less than $100, point being for the price fugedaboutit

Do they sell a pair of headphones that won't make me look like an idiot while wearing them?

well the wired version the wire is removeable so you can add a different length cord, also you can add a cord to the wireless versions of their headphones

I think is funny when people says Beats are overpriced. You do realise Apple products are all overpriced as well.. Yet we still buy them.

I was just about to type this, we all have overpriced tablets, smartphones, laptops and desktops based on what else is available

beats, bose and whatever else is 90% namebrand you are paying for not much different than apple products

for over the head style headphones I think beats are the only ones that do not, most make you look an air traffic controler

Exactly. I have m50s but I would love a nice pair of wireless headphones. My m50s aren't it. And honestly, the pickings look a bit slim.
