I did get the new studio wireless. I dont really see the point of the wireless, the only thing you can do with it is play music. You cannot watch movie or play games or talk in skype or anything else because of the sound->bluetooth lag.

Was hoping they would improve the build quality. Looks like the same plastic Beats before Apple bought them.

Will have a listen next time I am in the Apple store to judge the sound quality.

I think why apple liked beats is that they (beats) also make cheap headphones and charge the earth for them.

Wireless headphones that have WIRELESS written on them in huge letters... shows the intellect of the target demographic.

Studio Wireless are great. i have said that multiple times on here. I'm not sure where people got that all Beats headphones were bad. Additionally, they are $20 cheaper than the Parrot Zik headphones that are also great.

I returned the new Bose SoundLink on-ear today and spent 2 hours at Apple store listening to snippets of my music, BT connected to the Beats Studio Wireless. They sound so much better than anything else I've listened to and I have tried most. So nice to hear your own music to make a decision on what to buy.

Tomorrow heading to BestBuy to pickup the matte black pair on sale for $341.99

I didn't see any lag when I played with them at the Apple store. Watched lots of trailers in the iTunes store on my iPhone 6

But if you wore something like this you wouldn't?

Personally I think anyone wearing over the ear headphones in public looks stupid.

So only people wearing ear buds look "cool" to you?

Lol people complaining about the price of something on an Apple forum.

High proces are FINE as long as the item in question is actually worth the high asking price. iPads are expensive but worth it due to the good build quality and overall experience of the product. Beats headphones don't sound at all like a high end headphone. Not even close. They are obscenely overpriced due to NOT meeting the performance criteria required by expensive headphones.

You can get a set of headphones from various top quality mfgers that destroy Beats headphones for the same or less money. Now, those other brands don't have a gangster thug rapper as their spokesperson so they aren't as "cool" I guess. But from a performance standpoint, Beats headphones perform like $30 dollar headphpnes, not $300.

Hope that clears that all up. :D

I'm sorry. I didn't know you were the standard of what sounds good. Here's a crazy idea for you. People hear and like sound differently. Sharocking, right?!

Good to see the Beats brand is improving the sound of their headphones.

I have the newer version of the Studio wireless headphones and they're really good.

I have the PowerBeats (OG) model and I hated them at first. After I started wearing them correctly, and after a short switch back to my Bose ME2s (or whatever) and some Apple Earbuds I can say that they are really kinda nice.

Not nicer than a pair of professional cans, but nice.

I'm not noticing any lag when playing music or watching movies/videos.

The problem is there's a poor stigma that has become of the current design of the Beats headphone line. Until Apple changes the design, that stigma isn't going away. Regardless of the quality, there will always be a ghetto association with the product.

Huh...ghetto association? So are you saying the only people who buy Beats live in ghettos? It amazes me that in 2014 people still use these types of generalizations when describing something.

At the gym last night I saw lots of people wearing Beats headphones. I don't get the popularity but it exists.

Thats all I see in the gym. Hip hop popularity is urban popularity. Local gyms are mostly urban populace.

It's interesting that Beats is still functioning as an entirely separate entity and that Apple logos haven't found their way on to the products yet. But I guess Beats headphones don't really fit the design ethic of Apple and people might be confused by the branding.

Did you know that the VF Corporation has 25 brands. To name a few, North Face, Timberland, Wrangler, Lee and Nautica.

There's absolutely no reason for Apple to rebrand the Beats headphones as they're reaping 100% of the benefits and they're exxxxxttreeeemely popular. It's the athletes preferred brand so why ruin something going so smoothly.

Previous Beats bluetooth headphones have had apt-x. I wonder if Apple is going to keep this up with Beats and also add support to iOS.

-This- is the question folks should be asking. The standard BT audio codec is...well...pretty bad. It's fine for your BT earpiece or cheap headphones, but when you're employing it for headphones of this caliber/price point its limitations become apparent. The fact that Apple still hasn't licensed the apt-x codec is shameful. I believe it's technically possible to bypass the standard BT audio codec and use the AAC (or other) codec directly, but very few (possibly no) products have implemented this to date. I wonder if Apple pulled a rabbit out of its hat with these?

Really?!?! Ok how the heck can I troubleshoot this ? I tried connecting the bluetooth to my iPad and my iMac its the same thing, after a couple of secs its out of sync. Seems like a hardware fault then.

I'm happy with my current headphones:

Monoprice item #8323

4.5/5 rating, 1032 reviews

Lifehacker calls it "one of the best" headphones (certainly for the price).

CNET liked them, as well.

A reviewer on Head-Fi.org gave them an 8.5/10.

And their cost? $23.98.

Yes, $23.98. Not $199.95 or $299.95 or $599.95.

** $23.98 **

I can buy a nice Bose headphone with that price and Bose has a better headphone design + decent sound quality.

Do they have wireless? Do they have a mic (without plugging in a cable)?
Even if they have those, they still look like ****, IMO.

Of course, people will think differently but there's just no chance I'd wear those to work let alone AT work. The beats on the other hand, while maybe not sounding as good, they sound good enough and most importantly, works completely wireless and looks stylish.

I can definitely see the appeal of these.
Kind of like Apple products, IMO. They look great and work great. Sure, the performance may not be on par of a equally expensive DIY PC but that doesn't matter since they perform good enough for the price.

I ... I think I would buy a set of wireless headphones if they sounded great and the price was right. Would be great for on the move or at work. I do own several pairs of high end headphones for home use.

But honestly, I don't think I'd want them to be Beats branded. I'd just feel like a **** wearing them.

While 12 hour battery life isn't bad, I would have thought that for $300 it would be better; I can understand it for really compact wireless headphones, but for more full-sized over-ear types there's no excuse for having to charge them frequently.

It's rather funny to read many of the posts in this thread. It's the exact same things you have heard from PC users about Apple computers. I wonder if the posters are catching the irony.

Too expensive
Overpriced
I don't get it
Why would anyone buy these
