Does anyone else keep all of their Apple boxes?

Even two identical AirPort Express boxes?

I have the box of every apple product I have bought, when i sell them I send the box as well, I like the design.

Come on, you gotta love it. As I've said before elsewhere, I love the smell of a new iBook ;) I've only had 2 beers
I won't smell anything anyway... my nostrils are filled with pine dust, I smell bad enough to kill some average sized elk and I smoke just to keep ADHD & parkinsons disease on bay.

I think you guys should post pictures of the opening of the boxes. That'd b cool! I remembered that a website, i think it was iPodLounge.com that posted pics of the someone opening their iPod box... and it was really nice!

But i couldnt find the same for the rest of the Apple hardwares like iMacs, iBooks, PowerBooks, PowerMacs, Mac Minis... etc.. It'll be cool to start a thread showing ppl what's like to unpack an Apple product! :D

Threads like this tend to show up when new form factors are released (i.e. when the Mac Mini was first launched, but not the "new" ones). I'm sure a search would turn them up.

p.s. 2000th post :)

I didn't so much pay attention to the smell of the packaging, but I noticed my Mac mini smelled nice and new the first couple of weeks. Bit like a new car...
And I have the boxes of my mini and keyboard showing off on top of my wardrobe!

Ah yes, geek porn :p

I know for sure that there's a series of pics on the 2.5Ghz Power Mac thread since people waited 3 months to get them! There's a whole series from the Fed Ex truck arriving to booting up on the desktop with everything in between.

I even liked the bag from the Apple Store that my powerbook came in. Sturdy, had the double straps the length of the bag so it could easily be carried over a shoulder.....

When I worked at CompUSA I was able to set up LOTS of demo machines. The Apple products were always packaged better. Not just more stylishly, but actually better. The PCs (desktops and especially laptops) were always packaged poorly. Requiring hunting around for the cables and such. The Macs always had everything right there for you. I kept the box of my mini, and my dad has several old macs that still work in their original boxes (repackaged after he upgraded).

You mean you don't know what a jaffa cake tastes like?
It's actually more accurate to say I have an extremely poor sense of smell – I can only smell very strong, very overpowering smells, like burning for example (so at least I'll be alright if the house is on fire). But I can't smell anything that isn't very, very strong – subtle, everyday smells (such as lovely Apple packaging) are completely lost on me.

It doesn't really affect my sense of taste surprisingly enough, so I'm more than familiar with the deliciousness of Jaffa Cakes – however, I've not been allowed any since I developed diabetes so it's a moot point anyway! :p

I will be sure to do that the day I get my PowerBook (who knows when that will be, though). I may even make a DVD of me opening setting up the whole thing (in iMovie/iDVD of course!) It just makes me wish they had Smell-O-Vision so that it could be shared. :)

I am running out of room in my closet. And as for geek porn, I took about 30 pictures of me opening my PowerBook...

I still have ALL my boxes.
The iBook has no box, it was pawn shop. :(
But I DO have my 3G iPod, 10.3, iLife '04, PowerBook (but of course!), Wireless Keyboard, Wireless Mouse, AirPort express, an extra Power adapter...

I think I have a problem.

No, I don't!

Mmmm... Boxes.... :p :p

i keep all the boxes that i get from apple, and the bags T_T i just love the bags from the stores, i even have the airport extreme card box

I kept my Powerbooks box, both of my iPods box( 4G monochrome and 4G color), the box when my iPod returned from Apple service when I got it fixed, my shuffle box( yes I have 3 iPods now :D ), the dock for the 4G monochrome, and my 20" iMac G5 box.

Yeah gotta love Apple's packaging. I haven't opened a iPod box other than the 3G, so I don't know how it degraded recently. I didn't really like the look of the shuffle's box, but I never opened one, so what do I know.

I keep all my Apple boxes as well. I always eventually sell them, on ebay or otherwise, so it's a good idea to keep them. It never gets out of control, because I never keep "redundant" stuff (I don't have three desktop Macs and four laptops for example :p ).

I've kept my boxes for the powerbook and iPod, but since I did the whole 'buy a Mac, get a free iPod' deal last summer, both boxes are scarred by missing UPC panels...it's just so sad...

I exacto-ed and scissored as best as I could, but I'm not always the most skilled with the hand-eye coordination deal...if i just keep them on a shelf though i can put the cut side down and pretend they're new :p

though i don't know if pristeen boxes = $200 lol...
