This, so much this. Democrats are the equivalent of the mainstream center-*right* party in most developed countries, or dead center in a couple others, the US doesnt *have* a functional left wing
How many of you actually read what Elon Musk said. He condemned the Anti Defamation League's call that all white people in the world are anti semitic while not calling out Minorities such as Palestinians for being blatantly, murderously anti-semitic. The replies to his tweet are not particularly benign though.
I am not going to pick sides on issues. Exacerbating present issues and problems always seems to be what people want. All I said at the beginning ............

People love to keep this myth alive, but the rest of the world is not outrageously left-wing compared to the US, and yes, the US does have a left-wing elements that is every bit as functional and active as their counterparts around the world. The news highlights more of the left-wing activities in other countries which skews our perception.
Again. No. White men are not bad. Like any group, individuals vary. There’s enough to disagree about without making things up.

You’d be surprised at how mega-corps can sway large govts like China. Apple’s involvement in China has helped pull millions if not billions of poor get out of poverty and helped modernize entire regions of the country. The more modern a country, the more chances of it becoming democratic.
It’s also improved working conditions in its factories. Sure, it might be as sugar coated as Apple PR makes it but working conditions are better than other factories.

I classify it as truth. The two biggest groups tracked by the FBI as internal terrorist threats for most of my entire lifetime, under both democrats and republicans, have been, in order, white supremacist groups and ecoterrorism. The latter has kinda fallen off recently, but the former has grown. is it really that much of a shocker to you that a country with such a long history of race based chattel slavery has a modern problem with racists?
They didn’t avoid it. They answered clearly. Stating a fact is neither left nor right.
I have family members who have bought Tesla cars and returned them because of Elon`s views. Does it hurt Elon? No. They did what they believed was best for their morals in their family's lives. Which applies to those who that personal views. Did I try to change those family members? No, why should I? Their views of what they believe is right. Respect people's morals.
Will not be surprised if other companies too decide to suspend advertising

He called out the ADL hypocrisy of shaming white teenagers in the TV ad when in reality most of the current street anti-semitism comes from brown/semite people (because the Gaza situation)
The ADL don't want to antagonize brown/semite people because the ADL usually weaponize brown people against whites.

The ADL's job is to convince people that supporting Israel is progressive and democratic and the right thing to do and to ensure that anyone who criticizes Israel or Zionism is labeled an anti-Semite. I have no love for the ADL. The ADL's messaging is meant to appeal to a certain type of person, generally liberal. They are certainly not trying to win over anti-Semites.
But Musk's re-tweet suggests that "minorities" are the real anti-Semites, when that is BS. If Musk wants to criticize the ADL, just say so instead of re-tweeting something that contains the phrase "hordes of minorities". Musk wants so badly to be Best Reply Guy and he just can't achieve it.
