Looks like Apple might have disabled/limited new enrollments for the time being, maybe to reduce server load.

Mine failed the first try over WiFi.

Tried again via LTE and it worked just fine. If your toggle is still there you might try enabling via cell.

hot mess. i think Apple Pay Cash servers were betting on the ios updates to roll in. but now that everyone has the new ios update already installed, the servers can't take the load.

Apple released iOS 11.2 early in order to address a serious date bug that was affecting some users on December 2, and while the update introduced Apple Pay Cash, the feature was not yet activated by Apple.

Because it wasn't activated, Apple Pay Cash was not usable, despite being listed as a feature in the update's release notes. Apple today made Apple Pay Cash officially available in the United States, so it can be used by all iPhone and iPad owners who have iOS 11.2 installed. Apple Pay Cash is just now rolling out, so it may take a bit of time before it's fully functional and available for everyone.

Apple Pay Cash is Apple's new peer-to-peer payments service, designed to allow for quick person-to-person money transfers, much like Square Cash or Venmo. The service is currently limited to the United States.

Using Apple Pay Cash, you can send and receive money through iMessage conversations using the Messages app. Cash is sent from a linked debit or credit card, while received cash is stored in an Apple Pay Cash card in the Wallet app and can be used for purchases or transferred to a bank account. For more on Apple Pay Cash, make sure to check out our how to.

Apple Pay Cash will also be available on the Apple Watch once watchOS 4.2 has been installed, and we're expecting to see watchOS 4.2 later this week.

The toggle for Apple Pay Cash has been removed on my iOS devices

Not that it matters but a small distinction, I don't think Apple is directly responsible. Every time Apple Pay Cash is activated on a new device a card issuer (in my case it was Discover Debit, I'm not sure if they use Discover everywhere in the US) has to issue a virtual debit card number. I'm sure it's the card issuers that can't handle the volume of new activations rather than Apple.

As far as I am aware of, it is limited to iOS.
Well, that leaves it as an “almost never” for me lol. I don’t know that I’ve split a bill in a. Group where we were all on iOS.

I guess I might use it for selling stuff on Craigslist. How safe is it in terms of a charge back? I imagine cash is always still king.

The toggle for Apple Pay Cash “was” on my iPhone and iPad. It has since been removed.

My bank doesn't yet offer debit card integration yet (coming Q1-18). I have my CCs on Apple Pay, but these do not work with Pay Cash. Is anyone in my boat who's come up with a solution?

Same situation for me. Almost all of my family is on Android. I am praying hard for them.
[doublepost=1512419071][/doublepost]Do you have to add the debit card first, before Apple Pay Cash option shows? If not, I still don't see the option to add Apple Cash.

Lol. Well I actually use android in my work device. I honestly don’t mind it. And I may have moved over to a pixel for my personal device if I didn’t think it made sense to just continue being able to have both.

We’ve used venmo to split checks before and it has worked just fine.

turned off wifi and it worked. need to verify yourself too. enter in some information about yourself. name, address, DOB, SSN.

Has anyone who originally had the toggle but then it disappeared manage to get the toggle back again and successfully activate Apple Pay Cash?
