Yes, I was. After setting up APC on my iPhone X, with all the additional verification info, bank routing, account number, it all synced to my iPad so that I can add money and transfer funds there too. I just had to click on the request that I wanted to add APC to the iPad when a pop-up appeared.

Did you add the additional identity verification info, like your SSN?
Yes I did.

Kind of amusing. Clearly Apple wasn’t ready to launch this service. Not sure why they rolled out a feature that can’t be used. Also, no option/ability to leverage a credit card, as others have said. You need to add a debit card. I link my Amex to everything since they are amazing when it comes to service and don’t use my debit card for anything. Don’t even have that option here. Yes, I know there is a 3% fee but I have no issue paying .30 per $10.

Unless he’s literally quoting John Swigert from Apollo 13 and left out the reference to his name. As it turns out, he didn’t reLly say it anyway.
NASA claims he did:

https://history.nasa.gov/SP-350/ch-13-1.html

The message came in the form of a sharp bang and vibration. Jack Swigert saw a warning light that accompanied the bang, and said, "Houston, we've had a problem here." I came on and told the ground that it was a main B bus undervolt. The time was 2108 hours on April 13.

Why would you think otherwise?

Mine activated overnight. I then got a message that I had to be signed into iCloud and iMessages with the same AppleID...which I thought would prove to be a problem. I have two different AppleIDs because years ago I had one of Apple's email services back when it was MobileMe service. Apple's fix back then was to create a second AppleID and just use both of them for every thing (a little upsetting of a fix). But now, this seems to have come back to bite me. So I had to log out of my original AppleID and back in with my other account, so far it seems that everyone I have sent an iMessage to it appears as a normal message in the same thread as opposed to in a different thread because of the difference in the AppleIDs.

My Pay Cash card is shown in Apple Wallet but beneath the card it says “Your card is being activated.”
Been like that for 12 hours now. Turning off Apple Cash and turning it back on didn’t change the waiting for activation message.

Apple released iOS 11.2 early in order to address a serious date bug that was affecting some users on December 2, and while the update introduced Apple Pay Cash, the feature was not yet activated by Apple.

Because it wasn't activated, Apple Pay Cash was not usable, despite being listed as a feature in the update's release notes. Apple today made Apple Pay Cash officially available in the United States, so it can be used by all iPhone and iPad owners who have iOS 11.2 installed. Apple Pay Cash is just now rolling out, so it may take a bit of time before it's fully functional and available for everyone.

Apple Pay Cash is Apple's new peer-to-peer payments service, designed to allow for quick person-to-person money transfers, much like Square Cash or Venmo. The service is currently limited to the United States.

Using Apple Pay Cash, you can send and receive money through iMessage conversations using the Messages app. Cash is sent from a linked debit or credit card, while received cash is stored in an Apple Pay Cash card in the Wallet app and can be used for purchases or transferred to a bank account. For more on Apple Pay Cash, make sure to check out our how to.

Apple Pay Cash will also be available on the Apple Watch once watchOS 4.2 has been installed, and we're expecting to see watchOS 4.2 later this week.

[doublepost=1512483130][/doublepost]Last night I attempted to open my Message app on my iPhone 8plus, iOS 11.2. Up popped a picture of a phone with Apple Pay app showing $28 as a transfer amount. I could not get to my Message app unless I pressed the Continue bottom. Was this a “ransom” request. What just happened. Restarted the phone. Defeated my Apple Pay Account. Nothing would make the Apple Pay Message go away. So I pressed “Continue” not knowing if I am sending someone $28. It allowed me to get to my messages. I guess this was an Apple Advertisement for cash for friends transfer
This certainly was not very Professional. I am getting very concerned with all the miscues and poor judgment showing up lately. I have been an Apple loyalist for about 25 years. I am now seriously wondering why. Apple employees please shape-up and do what got you here. Make good judgements. Software updates have been a disaster lately. Are you all proud of this.

Mine worked this morning. Everything is setup and confirmed. You would need to input the last 4 digits of your SSN.

Didn't have to input last SSN. But working via my Bank card linked to Apple Pay Cash. But I can send as of last night

Have you been able to send money? I have mine and my wifes set up, cant send money.

Just tried sending it to my friend it worked. I put money into Apple Pay cash via a debit card... None of my friends have it set up so it just says pending in iMessages.

It rolled out for me last night. This is super convenient. No more will I have to wait to get paid back for pizza on movie nights :D

Also did anyone else notice if you tilt your phone the Apple Pay Card looks like a hologram?

The card shows in the wallet this morning but would not activate.

Mine took a good while. Several hours.

Interesting. When I try to send $$ I get “XXXX cannot receive payments sent with Apple Pay at this time”. It’s set to automatically accept payments.

I’m amazed at how many people want to give their money away here! Or are most of you all hoping to be on the receiving end? Except in very rare cases I wouldn’t choose to send someone money via any of the electronic or pre-paid card means. Why throw away money? If I was desperate to give someone money I’d just hand over cash for free with no middle-men.
Feel free to do that then. But riddle me this. What is the practical difference between money stored in your wallet and money stored in an Apple card? It isn’t economically productive in either case. In the former though I don’t have to go looking for an ATM to plus up my wallet, I can’t get money to someone in another city right away and I have to find or wait for a bank to open to deposit my excess cash. There also aren’t any ATM fees involved, admittedly, there is an auditable paper trail for the IRS to follow.

I had to remove my debit card from Wallet and then add it again for Apple Pay Cash. Otherwise, Pay Cash would report the debit card was already in my wallet. Once added and verified, I was able to transfer funds into Pay Cash from the debit card.
