I don't know why I was flagged to be required to send a pic of my license. I didn't want to do that and waited a while before applying again. After giving every info they wanted, they still wanted a pic of my license, so I gave up. I did chat with Green Bank reps. They were good in the beginning but they were noticeable not as good later on. Others have told me the same, saying they sounded burnt out. Maybe it's better now??

Apple Pay may be the king in other counties, but not in China. Everybody uses WeChat or Alipay or some other app for these.

What?? Apple\Google\Samsung Pay are all available in Canada (unless you live in the Arctic I suppose!)
I use Google Pay everywhere I shop (that has Tap capabilities without issue). When I enter a shop Google will even tell me if that location has Google Pay!!

yeah...you didn't read the article obviously. The article is about apple pay cash, not apple pay.

When is Apple Pay Cash coming to UK!!!! Please be soon. It would be soooo helpful!

There are always two sides of the medal. In this case Apple's fees which hurt the banks, the amount multiplies tremendously year over year across all customer payments.

"Multiplies tremendously?" "Hurt?" No, the .015% or 15 cents on a $100 transaction out of the 3 or so percent they get was never going to be a hurt. It's more than offset by the near elimination of fraud that accompanies Apple Pay, increased customer convenience and increased use of their card. It's why the vast majority of banks, credit unions, etc., in the US and around the world have now jumped on board and now there are thousands participating. The reluctance has been just among the few in certain countries that hold a monopoly/oligopoly, e.g., the big three in Australia, on the customer data/control that they fear is threatened by losing data/control.
