Because I totally make buying decisions based on whether the store offers Apple Pay..
Same here. Are there stores that still take physical payment cards? ... I wouldn’t know.

No they all just accept Apple Pay now. No more physical card payment methods. /sSame here. Are there stores that still take physical payment cards? ... I wouldn’t know.
Coming from Europe where contactless has been around for years, it still seems mental to me that the USA, a place that is supposed to be number one and the best is still struggling to get Apple Pay into stores.
Come on cvs, get back on board!
Just wanted to confirm that Apple Pay is finally working at CVS. The staff at my local store told me Saturday, "Finally, you can use it". I tried using it several months ago and I ended up locking up the POS system. (Point Of Sale, not...)
lol come to find out they turned it back on even before I posted that. Been up about a month now totally under the radar unless you go into a store.
I saw a pump that accepted Apple Pay at an Exxon gas station in Laredo, TX, so they definitely do exist (the nfc reader was like the ones often found on vending machines). Ironically, I can use Apple Pay to pay for fuel in Mexico more often than I can in the US, since in Mexico all the gas stations have employees equipped with wireless POS terminals many of which do have the NFC reader enabled (once set up with a supported card, Apple Pay works everywhere there is contactless payment regardless of the existence of support for Apple Pay by the local banks).Hmmm...sarcasm or honesty? I think former. If so, I agree. It's just as easy to grab a CC and do the transaction that way.
The only place I would REALLY love to use AP is at gas stations (at the pump), where CC info is ripped off daily from card scammers. But, I've yet to see a pump that takes AP.

Wawa (mid-Atlantic and Florida) takes contactless at the pump as well.
