Places like Babies R Us, Toys R Us, Target, Walgreens, Meijers, several gas stations, I'll use Apple Pay since I used it every day with my Nexus 5. Works perfectly and it always gets blank stares from the workers.

But Home Depot is a crock. It literally says "ISIS, Google Wallet, etc" with the tap to pay symbol, and you can even tap and it beeps, but the phone says "error" and the clerk has to clear your whole order and do everything again. It's like this at every home depot I've been to over the last 3 or 4 years... ever since I started using Google Wallet. I emailed HD corporate about it and they said "we have no plans to enable tap to pay at our stores, but stay tuned!"

I intend on using it as frequently as I can. My primary credit card's issuer is on board already, as are many of the places I shop.

I see a lot of people mentioning the stores that they talked about in the keynote, but remember, this is compatible with all existing NFC payment systems. Look for the logo that Brittany246 posted. There are many stores that accept it that they didn't mention in the keynote (those are just the companies that they are specifically working with to roll out systems).

For instance, I used to work at Rite Aid, and they have had this system in place for the last three years. Every now and then someone would use an Android phone to pay, but pretty rarely. I have a feeling that with Apple getting on board, it will become much more popular.

isnt that just the regular nfc symbol

Exactly. Apple Pay is 100% compatible with existing NFC systems.

Lets see how it plays out. For the iPhone 6, its looks like a US only feature. Still waiting for iTunes radio :)

Currently I have contactless in the UK, and that is awesome, even simpler than Apple pay. Not sure how I would feel about using Apple pay for simple transaction v contactless.

I'm excited to use it, and I've already emailed my credit union to get on board. Knowing them, it'll probably be another year, but I live in hope!

I got stung by the Target crap last year, and narrowly escaped this month's Home Depot debacle by a few days, so this is right up my alley.

I too was stung by the Target breach and I thankfully had to again change my check card since using at Home Depot during the timeframe of their issues. I'll be using this every chance I have (whenever my 6 Plus comes!).

Apple Pay is just NFC payments. It is nothing new or magical :) Otherwise, support would of been impossible. I suppose you may see Apple Pay logos show up on some newer readers though.

It USES NFC, but it's not NFC payments. And IT IS something completely new. And magical.

I'm in Italy. We have a lot of those contactless POSes. I have 2 credit cards that were issued like, a yeara go, or even more than that, that are Mastercard PayPass. I use them regularly. Especially in restaurants and places like that (they tend to have newer POSes)

It's one of those things I'll probably try once then forget about until it's widely adopted. I doubt I ever use it much with this iPhone. Maybe the next one.

I enjoyed using Google Wallet when stores accepted it, but it was a pain (Unlock phone, go to app, type in password, then tap), which sometimes could take more time than paying with a card.

With Apple Pay it seems to be a lot easier to pay (Automatically comes up on the lock screen, pay with Touch ID), and with so many retailers signed up I hope to use it.

this is what I thought, I already "tap" my Visa card for small purchases(under $50 I believe) I have been doing this for more than a year

The actual transaction is a standard NFC payment, however there are parts of Apple's implementation that are new including card scanning, tokenization, and their privacy safeguards.

Seems as though most grocery stores around here have contactless payment, though I am not sure I will end up using it.

My Mastercard pay passes are 25 without pin code. If it's more than 25, you still have to enter the pin code.

I won't. I have no issues with swiping. Using my phone provides no advantage.

That's because you still have swiping. In Europe microchip cards has been a requirement since, like 2012 or 2013. I can't swipe my cards anymore. They have to insert them and i have to enter my pin code. Apple pay is A LOT faster than that. I'm pretty sure US will adopt microchip cards as well, because they are way more secure.

I will use it in a heartbeat when they bring it to Canada.

Almost every store here has upgraded their terminals to accept the "tap" cards. Right now I pay for just about everything by tapping my debit card. It will be more convienient and also more secure once I can pay with my phone.

I hope they roll it out here soon. Considering the terminals here would not need to be updated it would only be a matter or striking a deal with the banks.

Already got emails from my bank and credit card issuer that it will be compatible.

Security is not the issue with the retailer you are using the feature with I was told. Your account number cannot be determined by the retailer as it gets scrambled and have no way of getting it. The feature needs to be handled and set up by your institution. Seems pretty safe from what I understand. It either flies or doesn't based on funds/balance/credit in your accounts.

I will definitely be using it. I hope Apple or someone figures out a way to use Apple Pay for web purchases so my credit card doesn't get compromised every 18 months. The banks will be jumping on Apple Pay as it will save them countless dollars in ID theft/credit card losses.

The Apple Pay feature, voice over LTE and WiFI calling are the 3 features that made me upgrade from my iPhone 5S, otherwise I would have been fine for another few years. YMMV

Code:
i think apple pay is just for fun apps features , if you use everyday in your life that become boring ,,,,

Don't know if I trust it fully. May give it a year to see if there are any screw ups or security breaches before I try it.

Most places I go accept it. Jazz games, McDonald's, subway, train, bus. Nicer restaurants don't accept it in my area.

Sure, but every implementation is different. The payment from the machine side is just a regular NFC payment.

I assume that is a joke. No card readers that support Paypass have to be updated because it is a standard NFC payment. How Apple implements it on the software side on the phone is really not that important.
