Tried to add my Kroger 123 Rewards visa today. Made it past the initial page, agreed to the terms and conditions, then when it was verifying the card it popped up a message saying Card Not Added Contact your card issuer for more information. Anyone else have the same or similar issue? Heading to the US bank website for any info. (US bank is the issuer/bank behind the card)

Not that this will help your particular situation (at least if your Kroger Visa is active), but I had the same message pop up trying to add my Citi Dividends card today and was turned away because, after much research and prodding with support, it turns out my account was closed due to inactivity.

Guess I'll be shopping around for my next one at some point!

Interesting, I'll have to look into that. Thanks

I am a BOA customer as well and have an iPhone 6. Not to piss on everyone's parade , but pulling my card out and swiping my card at the terminal is just as fast as pulling out my phone. Ok maybe it saves a couple seconds, and maybe it is more secure but does that even matter , really dont see the appeal here with the apple pay unless I am one of those with the phone in my hand all the time. None of my local grocers or walmart accept apple pay yet, and walmart says they wont.

Swiping my card is fast and easy as well is what I am trying to say

REALLY? Is this the mentality the US public really has?

----------

Looks like it might be a debit card thing cause it seems everyone not getting a total price or transaction details through Passbook all used a debit card. Same thing with me and I've used it at both McDonalds and Walgreens.

Used my Chase Debit at Panera today (rather than my default Freedom card) and have transaction price details in passbook.

NVM shows Panera as last transaction.
But pressing the (I) button doesn't show a list.

Fifth Third Bank made it official today with a link on their Home Page for Apple Pay

Says coming soon. I know that isn't an ETA but at least it will be available for me in NEAR future and can't wait--:apple:

Used Apple Pay for the first time today at Sprouts. So simple and easy to use. The cashier was actually excited to use it on her end and kept peaking over to see how it works.

I used mine in the self checkout line of Home Depot last night.

It was very easy. I did use my debit card (which can also do credit/visa). I pressed the credit button on how I'd like to pay on the checkout screen .. put my phone to the reader and it took it quickly. Then I had to put in my pin.

I didn't think it would do that since I pressed credit. Is this just the way it is when using that card or is there a way to make it use credit.

And, the ridiculous thing is, Bank of America is listed as a participating bank on Apple's website. You'd think they'd at least make sure their representatives know what Apple Pay is!

indeed. I would be inclined, if i hadn't ditched BA for other reasons to ask the rep if they can get on the internet on their computers. Then i would give them the URL to the public info page and inform them that they are going to put me on hold while they read it and when they come back they will answer the question of how many times I swiped my card. After which I will be transferred to a supervisor. And yes I would calming give the supervisor some feedback about how it is poor customer service that their reps don't have a clue about what Apple Pay is and how it works

----------

i don't remember seeing the option. hover my phone over it when the screen was asking for phone number (reward card lookup) then my passbook pop up. then proceed for touchID. probably should have waited… they need to do a better prompt screen

the systems are supposed to register that its credit/debit as soon as it detects an NFC connection. and your touch ID is your pin. that it required both is likely why the double charge, it went through twice. BA admitted the issue was in their end of the system not Apple Pay but not exactly what the issue was, which they probably didnt know at the time.

Just tried using it - the card came up on my screen, scanned my finger print, phone beeped and said "done" ... Terminal did nothing. This was at Meijer (the first to break free from the MCX rules). I also tried it at Walgreens though and the same exact thing happened. Gonna delete and re-add my card and see if It works at some point.

Anyone else seen people have this problem?

Probably not, I don't represent the entire US public, it was a single opinion.

Hackers and thieves will find a way, no matter the size of the lock. As of now, the banks don't hold you responsible for fraudulent charges. I'll swipe my card with confidence at Target or Home Depot or any of the others that have been hacked recently.

That was pretty much my opinion until recently, but I and my family members have had to have multiple credit cards replaced in the last year due to fraud. That's a pretty big hassle when I have accounts at dozens of online stores and sites that need updating. And there's always the chance that you might not catch something, too.

I used apple pay for the first time at Panera Bread last night. It took two tries. I got a confirmation, but the clerk did not do his part, so I did it again and it worked. very nice.

The thing I was curious about is how the transaction shows up on my chase account. it looks totally normal just like i had swiped the card. it shows up as a panera bread transaction.

On the try that didn't work, did the phone look like it was happy (i.e. It said "done" and beeped) but then nothing else happened? That's what happened to me at two locations but couldn't get it to work.

Similar occurrence for me.

The clerk has to press the "Verifone" button first. Then the Apple pay attempt will work and you will hear the ding from the clerk's register indicating the payment was successful.

My clerk was new and another had to show her where the Verifone button was on the register.

Went to a local Home Depot & Price Rite supermarket & :apple: Pay worked perfectly at both locations. Location is Philadelphia suburbs

Full support for US Bank was added today and upon trying again, my card was added without a problem.

List of supported issuers says Fifth Third is supported but apparently that doesn't include Fifth Third Business Debit. Also Paypal Debit Mastercard and Prepaid Visa from MetaBank don't work. Of course this service is likely aimed at 1-percenters cause they all have AMEX! :-(

Unfortunately, I don't think any business cards are supported right now, including AMEX corporate cards.
