Already contacted them. The lag is like when using an AMEX card rather than a normal bank card. Plus it does sometimes not read for a few seconds. That’s not the main issue it is the fact that I have 7 days worth of extra charges from about 20 days worth of travel. It seems random when it happens.

Like I said, no to all. Specifically, no extra charges from a visa debit used regularly since ETM was introduced.

I've never had an Amex, as I've always considered their various quirks as inferior to Visa & Mastercard. Presumably you use one for points/loyalty scheme, or something?

It is on a visa credit, the same card I’ve used for the last year on its own without issues. It is not related to that. I’ve seen quite a lot of people having the same issues. It’s about £60 of extra charges I’ve picked up from “incomplete journeys”.

It’s a known problem and they have a lot of people with the same issues. They can only refund 3 per month on their system but I need to call them to escalate it to get the rest refunded. For the mean time I’m going to us my card (as I have done for the past week without any issues). Once it is fixed I will consider going back.
