When I picked my Pro up on Saturday I saw the display ones had a white holder for the pencil next to them but all empty. I wonder if all those got stolen...
where does Apple expect people to store these huge white instruments when they are unleashed to the public? Worst, I wonder how many replacement caps I'll blow throw while the originals are lost during the recharge process. The cap seems appealing enough to gnaw on, but not that mag safe conductor underneath.
(2) Lack of information. Fine, things happen in production. I get that. Give us some information Apple! "A production facility blew up and we had to get a new company to make them. They're making them now and should be available within a few weeks. Apologies for the delay - we'll make sure everyone who wants one has one before Christmas. By the way, here's a free month of Apple Music." Whatever it is, let us know WHY. We get it's embarrassing, but a lot more forgiveness would be given if there was some explanation. Also timing - Let us know exactly when and where they will be available so we don't have to do this constant checking.
I agree. But I always wonder with situations like these (you know how Apple rarely comments on things), perhaps someone in Apple PR is saying: "Nope. In fact, it's just better to keep our mouths shut" (for some reason). I have no idea what that reason is, but I'm sure they have some policy for dealing with situations like these. And it probably works. I'm guessing most people won't even be aware, a lot of people are not early adopters - and it's not like we're going to punish them with out wallets. I mean, I'm angry, but I'm buying that thing the first chance I get. And I have a feeling all this will be well forgotten when that happens. But now, I understand what you're saying and agree![]()
The Pencils most likely were withheld by Apple Store staff. I was playing with the iPad Pros in an Apple Store in the past weekend and a staff just came and gave me a Pencil to try. When I picked my Pro up on Saturday I saw the display ones had a white holder for the pencil next to them but all empty. I wonder if all those got stolen...
Apple couldn't even make the regular Pencil available. I guess they have no time to modify the Pencil for in-Store display.why hasn't it tied down?
I'm sure this is what people resorted to when there isn't any available for purchase. Not saying it makes it right.
Yeah I thought it was dumb only the ipads were tied down, when the real money was the accessories. stupid apple. Also it was ****ing retarted, all my local stores had 6-16 iPad pros on display, least 4-8 pencils and same for keyboards. All which could have been stock for customers. Why not 2 of each, and people can wait their turn to test them out? alot more happy customers if people walked out with them rather than placing orders on a 2-5 week wait. What sounds like the shorter wait to you?
Angela Ahrendts has her share of defenders on this forum (it is still unknown what if any pull she has in determining product inventory for product launches) but the plan (or lack of one) for how the Pencil would be presented/secured clearly falls on her shoulders.
