No GPS, no buy.

How they can't make a complete stand alone watch is beyond me. The day I can receive my text or calls during my run without carrying my phone.........then we have a winner.
Couldn't agree more.

I can see how an updated iPhone 5c would be good for runners etc. All the new specs, but a fair bit lighter than the larger phones.
If they can make a new Watch that's a bit thinner and lighter with the same battery life then I suppose some would benefit.

If the next one has GPS & FaceTime, I'll buy one. Not very interested if it doesn't. It needs to be thinner also. Currently it looks like a brick.

The most wanted feature is to have a display that shows information all the time at least for health apps or similar.
Current Apple Watch compared to a standard watch:

Watch displays time/date all the time (perhaps not in the darkness). Very easy to look, you don't have to raise or twist your arm.

Apple Watch requires a very awkward twist of your arm (not always working, not sensitive enough) or raising your arm to make it display info. In many cases you also have to wait a while before data is updated and valid.

Fitness apps for running. Awkward to use, haven't found one single app yet that is good enough. If compared to e.g. a Garmin Forerunner:

- Garmin shows info on the screen all the time. No twisting or lifting your arm.
- Garmin shows updated info all the time, no waiting.
- Garmin is stand alone, with GPS, Apple Watch requires an iPhone and the connection between them is not always reliable.

I understand that battery power needs to be saved but I can accept it being drained on a one hour run if it just can show updated info all the time. I can put it on charge when I'm in the shower afterwards.

For showing time, it can have some part of the screen that is visible all the time, like e-ink. Time should be shown all the time.

I can accept that the iPhone is required for GPS data but I can't accept the slow response from the screen when I want to look at current information when running etc.

I highly, highly double the Apple Watch will get its own GPS. GPS sucks power like crazy and there is little need when most carry their iPhone with them even when working out. There are only a small number of runners that don't carry their phone while they run.

I disagree. I have a lot of experience running and with runners and None of the runners I know would carry their phone with them while they run. I have an iPone 6+ how the heck would I carry that monster when I run?

maybe you mean runners who use treadmills?

facetime, gps and thinner and faster.
Can' t be done even in this new gen.
Skip the facetime. Get a 16nm faster soc.
Make it slightly thinner, and make it communicate faster with your phone, and give it an slightly curved screen, over the rounded edges.
Give it one extra health sensor(bloodpressure?)

That is al, i want.

See the concept, that is what i expect from the watch 2.0

Facetime? Why? It would be very awkward.
Perhaps they can include a camera in one of the bands, so you can make a snapshot and send it. Can' t see a facetime camera on the watch make good selfies, etc.
