Apple Planning to Hold iPhone 14 Event on September 7

I'm excited for both but more for the watch this time around. Instead of going with the base model like the last few years, I plan to go for a stainless steel one. It'll really feel extra new for me.

"this is our slightly redesigned, slightly faster, iPhone 14 Pro Max that you can get in a slightly different color than the iPhone 13 Pro Max that you bought last year. In other words, it's simply the BEST iPhone we've EVER made. We think you're going to love it."
Well played! 😁
You know, that is a very clever joke… and a very true one.

But unfortunately we all know that is exactly what it is.

The rest is just Apple spin and hype.

Apple is aiming to hold its first fall event on Wednesday, September 7, reports Bloomberg's Mark Gurman. The event will focus on the iPhone 14 models and the Apple Watch Series 8.

The standard iPhone 14 models are expected to get few changes, but the iPhone 14 Pro models will include updated camera technology, the removal of the notch in favor of a pill-shaped and hole-punch cutout, an A16 chip, and more.

Apple plans to release a total of four iPhone 14 models, including a 6.1-inch iPhone 14, a 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Max, a 6.1-inch iPhone 14 Pro, and a 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Pro Max. Notably, there will be no 5.4-inch iPhone mini as the smaller iPhone 12 and 13 mini devices have not sold as well as expected.

There are three Apple Watch models in the works, including the new Apple Watch Series 8, a refreshed Apple Watch SE, and an all-new Pro version of the Apple Watch that is expected to feature a larger body, updated design, and more rugged build.

There are also plans for a new low-cost iPad, updated iPad Pro models, a Mac Pro with Apple silicon chips and more, but these devices could be saved for a second October event.

If Apple does indeed move ahead with a September 7 event, we can expect to get official invites approximately one week before, perhaps before the end of August. Apple has already been preparing the pre-recorded event, indicating that it will again take place virtually rather than in person. That said, there could be an in-person component with some members of the media invited.

Gurman says that Apple has told some retail employees to prepare for a new product release on Friday, September 16, which suggests the new iPhone and Apple Watch models could see a release on that date.

iPhone announcement on a Wednesday? Not a chance.

i can see it now "its our best iPhone ever!" just like every year..... duh...
Indeed.
Same old refrain… same old script.

"Oh and one more thing…" was a great punch line by Steve Jobs. Made me sit up and wet myself with antici.......PAtion.

Tim Cook's little catchphrase "And we think you're going to love it" is just tired and sad.

Getting bored of these virtual events. Bring back stage, the live demo, the audience reaction when you tell them a stand costs $1k.
Actually these are fine.
I can't stand the planted audience "woop woop woo woo" shouting… so very fake.

Yeah the weight is getting out of hand. They need to go the Apple Watch route, same specs different finishes.

My wrist fully agrees 😅

Considering the price hike, especially in Euro, I’ll hold onto my 12 PM another year. Gonna wait for USB-C and the periscope lens. iOS doesn’t offer anything new and exciting anyway

I really miss the days when you didn't know a thing about what was about to be announced and getting so excited for the event. Now we know just about everything it's going to be and can't get away from it even if you try.
Yeah agreed, I hold out hope for a surprise or two but realize that is unlikely.

I doubt I’d know anything about the rumours unless I saw them in this forum. I don’t really see leaks on any other sites I visit. It would be nice if there were no leaks at all though like we had around the iPhone 4 and 5.
