Apple Planning to Hold iPhone 14 Event on September 7

With 8K recording on the 14 Pro, it would be shameful if Apple hobbled it with slow lightning transfers.
If Google want to be a player in this market, then they really need to hit home runs with the Pixel 7 series and provide the functionality and stability required.
I kind of sense we'll see them finally move the phone line (maybe just Pro tier) to USB-C.
Which could only mean, they won't.
Regardless, I'll be iUPing to a new 14 Pro on launch morning.

I find the the exaggerated hand movements by all the employees during the virtual events while they announce/explain the products more annoying.. Someone has obviously coached them to accentuate what they're saying with over the top hand movements.. Looks ridiculous
I still have a 12 Pro Max. If I don't upgrade this year it'll be the first time I have an iPhone for more than 2 years. Just total yawns lately. If nothing special I'll just keep my money. Tired of incremental upgrades with barely noticeable differences.
iOS 16 Release Candidate/Golden Master drops that day as well right?

Been upgrading every year since 2008 consectively. If I feel like spoiling myself (change of color) I upgrade every 6 months or so. Yes, I know... I have a problem.

I know the rumor mill has been saying it for a while, but if they're accurate, and the 14 will not come in a mini size, it looks like I'll be sticking w/ a 13 mini for a loooooong time.
I upgraded every year until the 6. Tried that, HATED it, went to the SE in the 5S format as soon as it was available.
I replaced that phone 3x w/ identical SEs (wear & tear) until the OS moved so far beyond it that I was forced into the bigger 12 mini.
Really wish Apple would make an iPhone Nano. (& no, the watch doesn't fit the bill)

Looking forward to coming back to the Apple Ecosystem, don't mind what day it happens but it will be nice if it is the first full week of September with the phone & watch release coming a week later. As long as it doesn't take a month to get my phone like my S21.
(Note: No hate towards Samsung for the long delivery for the phone, it was stuck in Texas during the storms back during the S21 release)

It can’t be a big dent if you can afford that every year.Man, there will be a huge dent on my Bank Account, specially someone who buys two standard 14 and 14 Pro Max like every year
Different segments could be recorded at different times. Tim could record his introduction shortly after the Emmys. Apple promotes TV+ at most of their events. If Ted Lasso, Severance, or other nominees pick up awards, they definitely will want to mention it. But we'll find out soon enough.
Looking forward to something like this once a year is fun. I just love the build up, keynote, MR forums and simple joy it brings makes it worth the money.

I mean, I absolutely love the Mac but a Mac only event sounds really boring right now.
The most that’s rumor does them updating the iMac and Mac mini with the M2, updating the 14 and 16 inch MacBook Pro’s with M2Pro/Max, and maybe a new Mac Pro.
But even then all the rumors indicate that the new MacPro is more of a 2023 product so outside of that it will just be spec bumps.
And then all of the other really interesting things like the 15 inch MacBook Air, the new 12 inch MacBook and the new 27 inch iMac all sound like next year
I hate to break it to you, but your are going to stay bored for quite some time.
