Here we see a nicely designed, easy on the eyes user interface:
You can see seven main menu items with room for 7-8 submenu items before scrolling is necesary.
And here we see a user interface designed for appearance more than functionality:
I can easily read the main menu item I have selected and one more. In the submenu of the item I've selected I recognize the top two items. Then something "...sky" (need to scroll down to read the rest and then some pictures of icons I am not familiar with). This user interface is full of eye candy which is great for children who have a lot of time to familiarize themselves with the system.
Appletv and the Wii have much better interfaces. My first impression of the PS3 was that it was a poor interface too but actually it is pretty good. The system is very responsive and scrolling left to right across the main menu provides smaller sized icons in the sub menus than you see in the xbox. Smaller = more items in plain sight.
Microsoft simply ripped off (surprise, surprise) Apple's Cover Flow interface (which was purchased from an outside designer/developer). Ironically, Apple users tend to see Cover Flow as a pointless gimmick.

To be honest this interface is supposed to be easier to use than the one that you get when you press the guide button (which is infact the original interface). I don't buy it. I wish they would change it back personally.
Ok, it's white but who cares. U could make ur iPhone white a long time ago but I want to know is how is it thicker than the Black one. Apple is claiming it's not and pictures all over the web are clearly showing it is.
