Hmm...Apple and Germans can be fairly anal about stuff like this ;)

What I'm *really* surprised about is that they didn't use formal you (Sie) - they actually went informal (du) :)

Jedenfalls freue ich mich für die Bürger davon :) Es ist immer gut, einen neuen Apple Store zu haben :)

I was over in Medan visiting my gf 2 years ago, and they had an Apple-authorized reseller, but no actual "Apple store" there...she ended up buying her Macbook from that place.

yes of course, there are so many apple authorized reseller / apple premium seller, but that i want it is apple store :(

c'mon apple.. open it in my country

So where is it located?

Based on the picture it looks like its down the Goethestrasse. I will take the Wife up next time she is shopping perhaps the store might be open.

The G5 and Mac Pro doors are identical on the outside. Are you suggesting I disassemble my desktop comp in a parking lot in a run down area of town to inspect? Am I supposed to plug it into my cars lighter to see if the repair was made? Am I supposed to remove the vid card and see if there is a different Ser# now as they claimed they replaced it?

I think NOT

Of course in a war zone you shouldn't risk your life and rather drive away quickly. But otherwise I'm just generally suggesting to look at your (switched off) product for a couple of minutes instead of throwing it into your car, driving home and quickly discovering the most obvious faults they made. Saves you money, miles and tons of headache.

Edit: And by "you" I mean "one".

Please, come again?

i just saying, being to two countries before, and seen what two countries products made. German has always have higher quality product than USA.

But this shop was delayed because of quality of work done by German were not up to Amercian inspector standards, therefore the amercian guy or gal force the delay until it is up to his or her expectation.

so in this very unique case, Amercian quality is higher than German. Which is rare. We all know Amercian standard is high relative to the world, but not so high when compare to certain european countries and japan.

It's a pity that there is no AppleStore in Berlin.
Gravis (www.gravis.de) is a good store, but i think if Apple wants to open their stores in a new country they should start with the capitol.

I was in the Hamburg store once - very disappointing, nothing really special. Small and unspectacular.

But with the Frankfurt store - very unusual that they delay such an opening for an indefinite time.

+2 negative: one for the delay and one for not having a store in Berlin

Greetings from... make an educated guess.....yip, right... Berlin :D

Apple had been using the informal form "du" for about 5-6 months now. They changed their website from the formal form "sie" to the informal one... :)

I'm kind of confused as to why people think the building is ugly... It looks okay to me, but then again I've only seen the photos that were posted here, and none of the full building...

Uero's love to talk smack about americans but the reality is they're lazy. They have no idea how hard the average american works to make a living. Uero's take their afternoon siesta like little babies because their massive 37 hour work week tires them out lol.
In the end they're so Jealous of americans because we rule the world as they become more and more insignificant.
They spend all their time blaming all their problems on america instead of doing something about it. When is the last time you heard an american complain about a Ueropean country? We just don't care what they think because they've become so insignificant.
You just did the exact same thing that you complained of in European people. Well, I hope you at least feel better now...

You're really not doing much to help the 'America is becoming the dumbest country on Earth' thing. And for the record, Spain is the only country in Europe that take ciestas (as far as I know), and it doesn't replace working hours, it shifts them forward. Oh and also, it's particularly funny when Americans say that 'we're jealous of them'. I think if there's one thing we're not jealous of, it's Americans; well, the ones like you.

Just saying.
