Aaaand another Apples-vs-Oranges comparison.

Despite its name (please Apple - change that ASAP!), the AppleWatch is way more than a simple device telling the time (and maybe date and moon phase, which often is about all that analog watches have to offer).

Assume for a moment that Apple had named its then-new product ‚Apple Calculator‘. My 35+ year old pocket calculator also still doesn’t feel old. It even shows bigger numbers, has bigger keys for typing and is better readable in direct sunlight. And thanks to it being solar-powered, I never have to recharge it.

But I would never even dream of comparing it with a completely different product category, even if the name might suggest differently. Because for some strange reason, I can not use it for health and sports metrics, texting, phone calls, weather forecasts and whatnot.
I agree with you but when Apple market it as a watch it makes it valid to compare it to a watch.

Ooh Far Out… let’s play the guessing game: what are the chances Apple contracted some James Webb Telescope deep space images to use as backgrounds or tvOS (Ken Burns style?) screensavers?! We can dream….

Those are undoubtedly the dots of the LIDAR system (or the flood light of FaceID).

But what would it represents of? And coupled with “Far Out” nonetheless. A nudge toward Augmented Reality now that they’ve amassed lots of user data that the LiDAR system database is maturing? A car system so advance it puts Tesla green in envy?

Well… Can’t wait for the event. I’m BORED with just the usual new iPhone, iPads etc. announcement as they charms had started to worn off to my eyes.
