Does Apple not hold auditions for these videos?

I don't think they could have come up with a creepier, more wooden, PC-ish presenter. He's gotten even worse than last year.

This guy is seriously starting to bug me. Can they please get a new one.

Darn- I can't watch it as I'm at work (I guess I shouldn't be on the forums either). Does it mention anything about iphone 2.0 multiple calendar or contact support? I am interested in tapping into my exchange work e-mail and calendars, but I don't want that mingling with my personal data that I have on my iphone now. Up till now, from what apple's announced and leaked firmware shots, it has looked like if you want exchange push calendars or contacts, you can't maintain a separate personal set. Thanks!

WTF?? They don't mention GPS turn by turn directions. They only show GPS as tracking where you're located.

The MAPS portion in the full demo still has you hitting the "next" button at junction points.

I seriously doubt in 10 minutes that guy will go into anything that complicated. Those tutorials are so vanilla and useless it's an insult to prosumers.

So im taking it there was nothing revolutionary in the video... no new features...

Oh well more iCandy!

thats cus maps doesnt support turn-by-turn. we are all hoping Tom Tom will make something with turn by turn

I saw it this morining... I THOUGHT IT HAD BEEN THERE! LOL... I knew something was new about it.... also the only thing new was the app store downloading thing.

That guy is so damn creepy. Can't they do someone else? He's been one of the weirdest parts of EVERY ONE of these videos.

Not to be sexist but I think it'd be nice if it was a girl. Or Steve Jobs! Or just about anyone with charisma.

They were never promised. I think you are confusing the rumors of Tom Tom porting their software to the iPhone with announced features.

Where is that hot chick who presented the guided tour for Apple TV? I miss seeing her.

headphone question

as i was watching the video he stated that there is a button on the stereo headphones, is there a button on the current iPhone headphones that work the same way to change tracks, answer calls, etc?

can they get someone cooler or with more personality to do these things? they really need to change that dorky guy already.

Anyone notice the separate Contacts app, like on the iPod touch, during the tour on page 2 of the home screen. It makes it's first appearance around 35:20 in the guided tour video.

iPhone

I hate the way he refers to iPhone, like it is your friend. "Even when the screen is off, iPhone can receive emails. iPhone is jealous of your husband. iPhone wants you to kill him so that you can be together, iPhone and wife>'

Some things I like:

- Much improved speaker and microphone - "dramatically improved audio"
- Tap the titlebar in contacts, emails and SMS to go to the top (only Safari does that now)
- Option to save all the images in the email without having to tap on each one (as shown by the "save 2 images" option)
- Version updater in the app store (I was speculating on this the other day)
- Love the app download progress bar

Also noticed the usage setting was now attached to the airplane and wifi section and is renamed "Fetch new data" with push as the current setting. There is also now a "Location services" on / off switch. The date on the calendar also reads Wednesday the 9th. It just happens that this month the 9th falls on a Wednesday. Perhaps we will get the software update at least a little early?
