Anyone notice the separate Contacts app, like on the iPod touch, during the tour on page 2 of the home screen. It makes it's first appearance around 35:20 in the guided tour video.

Yeah - this definitely is new. I don't know how necessary it is, though!

I'm glad this it's not just me who thinks that these people they pick for the guided tours are weird.

And what's with the black clothing?

This isn't a music video, this is an informative walk through of features. I'm sure Apple wanted to hire a sight for sore eyes so you'll focus your attention on the iPhone. If you have a beautiful woman introducing it, who's going to care about your device? I'll be too busy looking at the presenter.

I'm just glad Apple is wetting the appetite for the iPhone

This has been around since beta 2 of the SDK. Gives you one tap access to your contacts without having to click on phone, then contacts.

Eh - that's cool, I guess. I wish they'd let you remove Apple applications (and then re-download them from the Apps store if necessary).

I'd say hasta-la-vista to YouTube + Contacts right away!

Gps

That GPS is always stationary. I want to see it move while in a car. If that is always a thing that has to be clicked to give location then there is no point to that GPS. It has to flow with movement and they have yet to really show this in action. Guess we will have to wait and see its real functionality.

"Wetting" would be used in a sentence like "I'm wetting myself in anticipation of the new Iphone".

Dude, he was leaving it ambiguous so that we didn't have to KNOW for sure what he meant.

Now that you've gone and clarified it... Well, let's just say I'm not shocked by this, but I don't want to think about it! Thanks a lot...

This presenter is definitely creepy. Also, he needs to stop waving his arms/hands so much -- it's REALLY distracting during the video. I really hope they get a new guy for next time.

One thing I noticed when he was discussing video: he says videos are displayed in landscape mode. So is there no new portrait mode? Wasn't that one of the new 2.0 features? (Though I don't know WHY anyone would want portrait mode for video).

Also, when he's explaining how to mass-delete/move e-mails, he talks about touching the circle on the left. Is it just me, or does anyone else NOT see a circle there until he actually pushes one? Maybe my eyesight's going, or it's just something that doesn't show up well on the video -- but I just thought it was strange he was mentioning circles and I couldn't see any (until pushed).

I can't believe it doesn't play on my iPhone!

Likewise. I think it is kinda silly that it doesn't.

This video frustrates me.... The dude keeps on saying "The iphone 2 dot 'Oh' software..." IT'S iPHONE 2 POINT ZERO.... 2 POINT ZERO!!!!!!
Where did they find this guy? But I'm pretty sure he's reading from a card... but even though, the car probably says "iPHONE 2.0 SOFTWARE" and he's still saying it wrong... AAAAAAAAAAaaaah!

that is all
thank you

Anyone else notice the AIM App! Yippy!!!!

AIM! Nice!
