How about making them available for download, period? As usual, QT is being a piece of crap and the sound just cuts out on the stream about 1/3 of the way through, right after the video starts hiccupping. Nothing I can do will bring it back, unless I restart the video. And then I dare not try to skip forward to the spot I was at, or else the audio will stop working again. I like most of Apple's products, but QuickTime is a steaming pile of poo.

The sound level on the stream is really low. I can barely hear anything.

Yeah, same issue with the WWDC. I tried watching it on the PB, but because the sound was shoddy, I watched it on the iMac instead with my pro speakers. made it more clear.

I feel the same. I hope this isn't what is to come for the supposed Vector Aqua. I really love the Aqua Scroll Bar as it is!

I just noticed that Cmd+1 no longer makes the iTunes Main window appear yet it still states it does under the Help Viewer (Keyboard Shortcuts). Also, Cmd+2 doesn't make the EQ appear. Seems they forgot to change those shortcuts to say that they are now reserved for Video, "Actual Size" (Cmd+1) and "Double Size" (Cmd+2). Boo, at least I have SizzlingKeys which makes F8 bring up iTunes.
Yea, I often used the k.b. shortcuts but realized all the ones I was accustomed to using were not longer there or were for a different use. Still bumed about the aqua but im sure we will get used to it. I should have seen it coming since its just about the same thing in Leopard, at least thats where most apps are heading anyway, to the smooth metal look or w/e u call it.

How is everyone watching this? I try and all it get is the "Due to exceptional demand..."
I saw it as soon as the store was back up. Just followed the Macrumors link and the stream was up and running. I guess I cought it early before Apple posted it officially on their site. Lucky me :p ;) Good luck!

Hi:

I have a 256 kbps connection & am unable to watch the streaming video from apple's website.
Is there any other way I can view it? maybe somehow save it?

Is there a download link??

thanks, vb

I watched the whole quicktime stream and it was neat. I really want that iTV thing!! I must say they did a great job with iTunes but I dont like that they removed all the aqua from the interface.
I on the other hand love the new look and hope it is what the interface of Leopard looks like. To me, it looks so much more professional looking. I never had a probably with the previous look either. I just think this looks much more solid.

I've been trying to watch the special event for the last 24 hours without success, been getting the exceptional demand message. I was using Safari, I switched to Firefox and tried http://events.apple.com.edgesuite.net/sep_2006/event/index.html again and this time it works, the stream was perfect throughout :) . I have tried again in Safari and get the exceptional demand message but in Firefox I connect straight away. I thought it might be my browser settings but lots of others are getting the same message. Anyway, try another browser it might work for you if you're having problems watching the video.
