Because they were trying to exceed the experience provided by the original iPhone. They tried to compete on specs because they couldn't compete in OS, application support or value. So they (Sammie and Moto) have produced tablets with great specs but nothing further. Now Apple is out with iPad 2, similar specs, and all the other advantages from before. The other manufacturers look like they're standing still, competing against last year's iPad.

That's just silly. Download Quicktime or iTunes and watch the keynote. You don't know what you're missing if you haven't seen it.

You are kidding right? Have you ever seeing HP's Web OS in action? It was just great. Also RIM's Playbook OS looks awesome too and it looks like it is very responsive and multi-tasking on this thing gonna be good. I would think their OS will just as good as iOS if it not better. I am more expecting Windows tablet, so that i can really enjoying ultra mobile capabilities with full desktop computer experiences. I don't consider buying any tablet that has no writing recognition capabilities.

For the quick time player. I don't really like Quick Time Player. All i am saying is that i don't like how Apple requires to you have Quick Time Player in order to watch the video. If they so care about HTML5, why can't they just integrate the video into the browser or put a flash video.

For part of the keynote, i really don't like how Steven Jobs bashing other manufacture for making tablet. I also don't think "COPY" is the right word to use. Anyway, i am not gonna get iPad anydays. I am more waiting for Playbook.

Well, just because I am new to this forum, doesn't mean I have no idea.
So, even if MS had an office suite for iOS, you just simply could not work (efficiently) with the iPad. Screen is too small, touch keyboard, etc. If you want to do serious work, you are still bound to work on a laptop or desktop. Sorry, there is and there won't be any way past that. IPad screen size is just too small and don't tell me you can type as fast on the iPad as on a regular keyboard ;)
But if you take the iPad for what it is, it's an ok gadget I guess.
Sorry, but I just can't seriously see anyone use it at work to do some actual work on it  Well, maybe for Garageband or iMovie, but who cares about that? Besides, can anyone imagine a huge hollywood Studio going: "OK, we are gonna cut this new blockbuster on the iPad instead of on professional machines". The iPad is a toy, nothing else.

You just couldn't resist to confirm your troll status with your last line, eh? Pathetic.

Just so I'm clear, you said your expectations were not met with this new release, then when asked what additional hardware it needed to meet your expectations, go on to state it needs a bigger screen and a hardware keyboard attached? Wow. You don't need an iPad, fine. Don't troll and bash it because you want something it's not- which is a laptop, with your absurd requests. You know that Apple still makes those, right? A bunch of models actually. Could you give a detailed description of your ideal iPad, so that it's still differentiated from a laptop?

Almost 20 million iPads have been sold, obviously people are buying and using them for more than just games, as well as industries that are benefitting from them as as medical/education, etc. Grow the **** up, and realize that people's needs may not mirror your own and Apple isn't in the business to please you personally (in which case they'd be beyond backrupt, cause apparently even you have no idea what you want).

No, I'm not kidding at all. Just giving my opinion.

Say, if you hate Mac OSX, iOS, Quicktime, Steve Jobs, and Apple so much, what are you doing kicking around this website? I'm certain there are sites devoted to items that interest you. Like WebOS, RIM, and Windows.

I don't hate Mac OS X, iOS, Quick Time, Steven Jobs, and Apple so much. I just don't like the way Steven Jobs bashing other competitors. You don't really see Microsoft bashing Apple in stage do you? All i am trying to point out is that there are some as good platform available in the market, so that iPad isn't only choice. That's what i keeping telling my friends (that is, choice is yours, but don't just too focus on iPad, do some research on other platform, compare them and make decision. If you just too focus on iPad, you are likely to have biased opinion).

Mac OS X is okay OS, but it certainly not for me. I have lots of program that doesn't run under Mac OS X.

For Quick Time, i just feel like it doesn't really support lots of media format. Also i have Media Play Classic and VLC installed on my machines, there really isn't any need or reason for me to use Quick Time Player.

Conclusion, i am not really hate Apple. I just don't like the way that Apple seeing themselves as the best and rest of competitors are garbage.

You don't 'hate' Apple, but you don't like them either, and haven't expressed an iota of interest for them, neither their OS nor their hardware. Which still doesn't answer the question of why you would be posting on a message board for a mac rumor website. There's a ton of companies I don't care for, yet I'll be damned if I'm going to bother going to forums dedicated to the discussion of their products and state my complete lack of enthusiasm for their products/company. Constructive criticism, discussion etc is fine, but I don't think you're in the position to do either as you couldn't care less about their products. I think everyone here is aware that other platforms exist, but obviously have a particular interest in Apple products- but thanks for the enlightenment.

Is there any law or rules that restrict a non-Apple lover posting or join the discussion? You could see Apple lover go to Windows forum too. So, I go to various tech. site and tech forum. So, there is my answer.
