Ok, so whats the deal. I ran through the iTunes activation setup. It told me to disconnect and reconnect it to let it sync, which I'm doing now.
It then popped up "iPhone is not Activated Contact your carrier if this problem continues to occur." Do we have to do any *228 calls to finish?
That's strange. Once I disconnected and reconnected it activated within 30 seconds. I never had to call Verizon once.
What's even better is now I've got bars where I had "No Service" before. But if I try to use data, it tells me I have international roaming off.
Any Westcoasters here?
I read another topic about someone getting the wrong phone and it was meant for someone else so it won't activate. Make sure that didn't happen to you just in case.
ups just came.Delivered another package. Kid told me that he had it on his truck this morning and Security at the depot removed all the iphones off his truck.
I'm starting to think its Verizon's end. I've been trying to login to their website for a few minutes now. Finally just had it time out. Their servers appear to be swamped.
Edit: I finally got in. It definitely hasn't updated on their end. Going through activation on their website now to see if it will let me do it.
Edit 2: Actually, I think I'll just wait a bit longer.
Removed them and put them in their trunk to sell on eBay (not that it'll work with a CDMA phone, but whatever).
just kidding...
Sorry to hear.
Edit: Mine is up and running. Can I get a RAmen!
