I took my MBPr to the Apple Genius Bar yesterday to talk to them about the sleep-wake failure and the wi-fi dropping issue. The Apple girl claimed she'd never heard of either of the issues. She VERY briefly looked at it, appeared to run some diagnostics, then told me I had to send the machine off to have it worked on. I couldn't do that at the time as it is my work computer and I wasn't prepared to be without it. I have read many threads about sleep-wake failure and know that MANY of us have the problem, and, here, apparently, Apple knows. And, same for the wi-fi issue...lots of people appear to have that problem. What do y'all think? Was the Genius Girl a quack? Should I sit tight and wait for this fix spoken of in this thread?
