I wonder if it fixes Siri being at full volume and not being able to adjust it. Been like that since 17.4.
Siri volume can be adjusted with the buttons when and only when Siri is active (Globe icon showing).

that feature just scares me.. if traveling and need a password reset I'm screwed. ill stick with activation lock with find my
You can just turn the feature off. It’s not even enabled by default after updating. It asks you if you want to enable it and then you can always toggle it off in the FaceID/Password settings menu.

They better bring back those family emojis they removed on 17.4 because every time they release an update to fix something they also mess something else

I hope it fixes the overheating and Face ID. Nothing important y'know...

At times Face ID straight up doesn't work. They broke it before with 17.2 i think. Worked just fine out the box until I updated and was working just fine on 17.3. Now it's not working again on 17.4.

I even went to my Apple Store because I thought it was a faulty unit but the Apple store girl said they couldn't see anything in the logs and whatever tests they done didn't show up anything. They just suggested I make sure my phone is kept up to date.

My iPhone has also been noticeable warm since 17.4 even when I'm not doing much. I never had an issue at launch with it overheating (while many did) but this is the first I've noticed it get warm.

At this point I'm only going to be updating once we get bug fixes for updates. I'll be on 17.4.1 asap. If we get 17.4.2/3 i'll upgrade to them but I'm not touching 17.5 until 17.5.1.
Mine works fine… Maybe it’s your face? 😉 /s

I don’t know if anyone else has had this issue, but since the last two developer updates, my Files app has been freezing constantly. Each time requires a hard reset. Hope this addresses it.

iOS keyboard still has issues with accent vowels. When long pressing on vowels the optional accent ones (i.e. á, ä, etc.) take too long to pop up. Sometimes even don't pop up at all. Quite annoying!!!

One other small annoyance maybe someone can check if their 17.4 does this. Maybe 17.4.1 will fix. I came from an Iphone XS with super old firmware, and now on a 15 pro with 17.4.

In text messages, say someone texted you today, and you went in and deleted the individual text from them, (this would move the conversation back down your list to say yesterday or the last time they texted you, and that message wouldn't show up at the top of your screen still) Now with ios 17.4, if you delete say all the texts someone sent you today, their message thread still says up at the same spot from the original time stamp that was sent to you. It doesn't know to put that message down in your list further after you delete the single messages. I don't know when that changed? or if it's a bug in the new ios.

Or say you send a new text today to someone that that haven't texted in a few days ago... If you delete your own message that you just sent them after you send it, it still has their message thread at the TOP of your phone, it doesn't push it back to a few days later where it should be.
