Some 16s ship pies with the wrong build (22A3351), and needed to be updated (to 22A3354). They’re both still 18.0.
Ahhh thanks for letting me know! It did update overnight and at first glance appears good, but I only used it for a few minutes so far.

My iOS 17.7 runs smoothly! 👍🏻 😃,
why would anyone want to install a version full of 🐞 🦟 ??
Don't be an early adopter, unless you have a spare iPhone
I updated to 18 on my 14PM and it was fine. Then I bought a 16 Pro and that, too, has been fine.

Only real „bug“ that happens on my 15 Pro with 18.0 was while (automatically) switching between dark and bright app icons. Some icons remained dark and sometimes they switched while swiping between homescreens. That has been fixed for me with 18.1 PB2.

Who says that iOS 18 is full of bugs?
It has many bugs. Most you won’t notice, the regular basic stuff ‘just works’. Though I noticed strange empty buttons in Control Center on my iPhone 15 Pro. IPadOS is quite unstable. Random springboard resets for example. When using external devices like the magic >cough< keyboard and/or stage manager you will be surprised with how bad it works. I’m constantly working around bugs and crashes. Amazing. A Reboot multiple times a day, keeps the bugs away.

As a counterpoint to this, my phone and iPad (M4) work perfectly. Any bugs don’t seem to be universal.

Has anyone experienced the missing “paste” string from the context menu when you want to paste from the clipboard?
Not always, but sometimes it is empty. If you tap where the paste string was supposed to be, pasting works.
Not a showstopper, of course, as you can paste, but yet another little bug.

I haven't encountered this

Thats what I said. Do you use stage manager in combination with a second screen? That just doesn’t work very well. Smart keyboard or any external BT device: just doesn’t work very well. Cool that yours work fine, for what I had in mind it just fails with ipados 18. I have an M4 as well. Brand new out of the box.

You said there were empty boxes in control centre, the external keyboard caused problems and you’re dealing with a lot of freezes and crashes. You also mentioned an iPhone 15 in addition to the iPad so this evidently isn’t restricted to stage manager or second screens.

I have an M4 and iPhone 16, and I updated my 14PM to ios18 on the day it released. Every device has been perfect. I had one bug in a third-party app which has been fixed, and no other issues. I use stage manager on the iPad.

I have held off from installing Seqouia on the Mac just in case that introduces any problems, as it would be a bigger issue so I’m waiting for the first update to rollout first.

Update to iOS 18.0.1, on my iPhone 11 PM, but I still have the same problems with outlook.com.
It could be on Microsoft side and iOS 18 is just stricter with the standards, but still, it’s a problem if you use it for work.
