Hopefully a Mac Mini and a larger more Pro iMac.
If there was going to be a bigger iMac this go around I would have bet on them announcing it today along with other iMacs, next time you may get a shot at a new iMac Pro is prob WWDC

I get that it's in Apple's nature to overhype everything, but I do wonder if they realize how underwhelming all this is to customers?

Going from M whatever to M whatever is basically a nothing burger to anyone but the kind of folks we all are (tech enthusiasts who pay attention to all of that)
can't redesign every product every year.
they redesigned iMac when they went to M series processors, that design is not going to change anytime soon.

remember when Apple cared about PRO users? It's been a very long time. If they released a 27" version of this new imac, I could make it work, but I really am getting impatient for the new STUDIO.
Most pro users dont use iMacs, and thus Apple has repositioned iMacs back to where it originally was: the consumer desktop.

Remember Job’s matrix when the iMac was released? The major difference from that era is that MBPs have taken over from Power Macs (Mac Pros and studios today) for most pros as laptops have gotten more powerful

And the rumor on studio for ages has been targeting a summer release next year, it’ll get updated, it’s just not slated for now

If I were to take an uneducated guess, i'd say the Mini will be announced either tomorrow or Weds followed by the new MacBook Pro's.

The replacement for the pro-level iMac is the Mac Studio. Hook it up to whatever sized monitor you want. I think they're content with one level of iMac available in the Good/Better/Best configurations.

Apple introduced a new iMac today with the M4 chip and more, but that's not all, as it still has two more Mac announcements planned this week.

"This is a huge week for the Mac, and this morning, we begin a series of three exciting new product announcements that will take place over the coming days," said Apple's hardware engineering chief John Ternus, in a video announcing the new iMac.

Based on rumors, those two announcements are very likely to be new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models with M4, M4 Pro, and M4 Max chip options, along with a redesigned, smaller Mac mini with M4 and M4 Pro chip options and two front-facing USB-C ports. Just like the new iMac today, press releases and YouTube videos for the new MacBook Pro and Mac mini models are likely on Tuesday and Wednesday of this week.

Below, we reiterate what to expect from the new MacBook Pro and Mac mini models.

MacBook Pro

Apple is expected to announce new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models, including an entry-level 14-inch MacBook Pro with the M4 chip, and higher-end 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models with M4 Pro and M4 Max chips.

No major external design changes have been rumored for the laptops this year, with improvements such as an OLED display and thinner design not expected until 2026 at the earliest. However, the entry-level 14-inch MacBook Pro is expected to gain an additional Thunderbolt port compared to the current model, based on alleged leaks earlier this month. Those same leaks revealed that the MacBook Pro lineup might finally start with 16GB of RAM, instead of 8GB, which was rumored even before the leaks happened. As another clue, the new iMac has a minimum of 16GB of RAM for all configurations.

Apple last redesigned the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro in 2021, and the latest models with the M3 family of chips were released last October.

Mac mini

A concept of a smaller Mac mini

The next Mac mini is expected to be available with M4 and M4 Pro chip options. Bloomberg's Mark Gurman expects the next Mac mini to be smaller, making it closer in size to an Apple TV, and he said that the computer will gain two front-facing USB-C ports. All in all, the Mac mini is expected to receive its biggest redesign since 2010.

Like the new iMac, the next Mac mini could also start with 16GB of RAM, instead of 8GB.

The new MacBook Pro and Mac mini models will likely be available to pre-order starting this week, and they are expected to launch in November. The new iMac became available to pre-order today, and it launches on Friday, November 8.

Depending on what time they have the influencers in on Wednesday will determine what they are releasing tomorrow. If influencers will be there at 8 AM PDT, expect the MacBook Pro to release. If they won't be in until 11 or so, expect the Mac mini tomorrow and the MacBook Pro on Wednesday

I don't know why they insist on teasing me. Just release the MBP M4 Max and get it over with. My mind / wallet is ready!

Studio Display refresh please. I'll live with 27" with HDR, ProMotion and a better camera but a 30" will have me tripping over myself with my AMEX in hand.

Mac Mini has my attention

Would love for it to be able to work with a Siri Remote for under TV usages

Sort of an Apple TV Pro

I would kind of like to see them go the other way, release a Mac Mini that's the same form factor but more ports, and then also release a new Apple TV but this time it's an HDMI stick.

I do like the idea of a Mac Mini attached to the TV, but that pretty much already works. Remote compatibility would be nice though.

Ha ha. Isn't it kind of great though? The iMac is nice, but the chip is basically the same one in the M4 iPad. And, though Apple didn't plan it, the same one in the MBPs that got into the hands of some Russian tech influencers. So here we are still not really getting a chance to see what the M4 line of chips can do. If they really want to tease, they will do the mini tomorrow with the M4 and M4 Pro chips. Then they have the big finish on Wednesday, with the big seller, the MBPs and then we will see the M4 Max chip.

I was hopeful for a M4 Pro iMac. The 16” won’t be any different but an M4 series. They have been on 16gb and retina for 10yrs, time to go 32gb and a magical screen. I had a year old 720p laptop when I bought my retina MBP. What a jump!

They won’t. The MacBook Pro is the flagship for the Pro and Max. It has always been so, four generations in. Apple would never play games with that status. Nobody needs to be hands on with the MacBook Pro refresh, no matter how big an improvement it may be. The chassis hasn’t changed at all.

The new Mini(s), on the other hand…
