No one expected the new iPhones with Apple’s A14 chip to be less powerful than their last A13 powered iPhones, and the A13 was and still is one of the most powerful chips on the market. Heck the A12X is still a monster of a chip, two years later. What I wish Apple would focus more on, in promoting the new iPhones is actual user experiences.
But perhaps they don’t need to do that. People in the Apple ecosystem, especially those still using a 6, 7, 8 or some version of a X likely already recognize the 12 will be an upgrade in almost every way, and buy regardless. I’m upgrading even though I’m on an 11 Pro Max and can’t complain about performance, battery life, etc. I much prefer the flat edge design, which will pair up better with my iPad Pro 12.9” (2018). And my wife will get the 11 PM, which she’s pined after since I got it, replacing her XR that I’m going to trade into AT&T for the $800 in credit, which is a fantastic deal.
I’m more excited to see how the performance of their new Apple Silicon Macs, and hopefully upgrade the iPad Pro once they launch the A14X version.
