What's the point of the most powerful phone ever, when it only has half the features of other phones? Why can't the most powerful phone do split-screen? Why can't the most powerful phone have a better AI? Power means nothing without features. Oh wait! Maybe it's to power the already outdated introduction of widgets!
Aww so sad it doesn't have Android for you yet. I know these forums can be rough for Android fans who just keep hanging out on Apple forums hoping and praying one day that Apple installs Android on their iPhone. Maybe next year?

Actually I've never owned an Android phone. I have an XS Max, and continue to find little reason to upgrade. My wife just got her first android phone and now it makes me laugh when I look at my iPhones features. Yes I know the iOS is more stable but come on. How about split screen? It can do PIP, so why can't it do that? Apple is lazy. Their ios updates have gotten boring and they still have a freaking notch!

So wait you're telling me you bought a phone with a notch you don't like when others without notches are available? I'm guessing split screen is important to your day to day use but you bought a phone without this? iOS updates have gotten boring? When were they exciting? iOS is more exciting now than ever and it's still boring.

My confusion is you keep mentioning features that are currently specific to Android but you're complaining they're not on iPhone? That's honestly why I thought you were on Android. iPhone and iOS has and always had lack of features found on Android. If you're expecting this to change it won't.

My thought is you sound like you would be happier with an Android phone since it has stuff you want. Why did you buy an iPhone? That's like buying a sports car but wishing it had a truck bed to haul lumber. I like iPhone but it's not for everyone's needs. I love it but I don't care about split screen or custom launchers. I know some people get excited about that. Everyone has needs and wants so they should buy a product that meets those. If you don't you're going to be unhappy with the product.

Like the Pixel 5 which is LESS powerful than last year? Good point, Apple should switch it up a bit. :)

Generally speaking, though, in advertising you mention the competition if you’re trying to beat them. If you perceive yourself as the leader, you don’t. Samsung’s advertising and social media indicates where they consider themselves, for example.
Good Point. Then they should just say its ##% more powerful, or something more meaningful than "Most powerful iPhone Ever"

If Apple wanted to release the “most powerful iPhone ever” it would have a selfie camera through the screen and touch ID under the screen.

There’s early antutu benches showing the GPU is actually slower than the A13, while the rest is just marginally faster
The “speed” here is definitely referring to 5G. The A14 itself is being limited with the need to conserve power.

The iPad Air will be a better showcase for the A14 where it’s not being hobbled by power hungry 5G and tiny battery.

Even so if it's slightly slower in one part of one benchmark that's not going to be a big deal. I agree though the A14 will do better in the iPad Air. I bet one reason would be better cooling capacity in the larger iPad.

As determined by what ?, synthetic benchmarks ?, OR via (the handful of) third-party High Perf apps ?

If Apple truly wants to showcase what the A14 is capable of, they need to go with the Highest Perf third-party apps !

Applications that have been Off the Radar of most Users, but should NOT have been offer the BIGGEST Wow Factor.

Marketing at its core is spreading lies legally. Apple being the best marketing company in the world is maximising this power to the full potential. I’m not surprised.

And how is Apple lying in this ad? The iPhone 12 IS the most powerful iPhone ever. Where is this a lie?

Apple really needs to change ad agency, since this type of ad is already tacky for cleaning products and leaves a sour taste so shortly after the Beirut explosion!

Edit: And ironic misses the point if it should illustrate download speed, because then it should be an implosion instead.

Crap. I was hoping for an iPhone less powerful than previous iPhones. Apple has lost its way.

Apple Promotes iPhone 12 as 'Most Powerful iPhone Ever' in New Ad.

Sure they do, what else.

They won't say "Our new iPhone is slower than last generation."

I don't know … perhaps something less predictable and actually creative?

Still don't understand why they would create a glossy steel band for the Pro models? What's wrong with brushed stainless steel just like the 4 and 4s? The glossy finish will scratch literally seconds after I unbox it.

Does it look too similar to Aluminum finish? Yet Apple doesn't complain about Titanium Apple Watch Edition looks similar to Sport Apple Watch?
