How much you want to bet that Tim announces that the iPhone 6 is outselling the 6+ by some huge margin (without mentioning the fact that they only made a handful of 6 + models)?

Why would they do that? That would make zero sense whatsoever. You think Cook hates the 6 plus or something?

I don't need either one but my wife says I can have one or the other.

That's embarrassing. Buy stuff with your money if you want to, it's not her choice.

Dual electric motors AWD, autopilot 85KW battery,... Hey hey its Apple not Tesla...

I hope today announcement being as shocking as past week on Tesla' "D" Event.

You could watch stream on any OS, even without browser, just VLC is enough - but you need to know url of the stream - hopefully it will be published here - http://9to5mac.com/community/how-to-stream-apples-oct-16-ipadmac-event-on-windows/

or possibly here: http://www.reddit.com/r/apple/comments/2j8hyp/16_october_apple_special_event_info_livestream/

haven't tried it, but people are posting this:
VLC: http://p.events-delivery.apple.com.edgesuite.net/14pounqefvoiubefvpiub10/m3u8/atv_mvp.m3u8

Hopefully the stream is more stable than last time. The audio is already cutting in and out, so I'm not expecting great things.

Exactly because Micro$oft never required anyone to download their Silverlight software to watch their streams. Or Micro$oft never required Internet explorer to watch their streams.

And Micro$oft compared to :apple: always said leave proprietary protocols and move to internet standards:p

no picture on my apple tv 2. just audio. And unable to go back to the main menu hitting the menu button. :/

not working?

once again, doesn't really seem to be working? It's about four minutes after, and oh, seems to be starting. Why the delay?

The other thread gets spammed quickly so I post it here again

Pretty sure Craig dyes his eyebrows, possibly a Sharpie even, or maybe it's the spray. Pretty dark for a silver hair gentleman. :D

Hey apple quit insisting on making things thinner and give us more battery life. Not to mention the thinner you make aluminum the easier it is to bend

Guess no new mini for me this year. They barely touched it. Touch ID and Gold aren't enough for me to splurge another $399. Why no 8MP cam and anti-reflective screen.

Come one, just stop with the bend fuss especially relating the ipad. It just doesn't matter. You want to destroy it? You can, no matter if 6 or 8 mm thickness. I am more interested in a lighter tablet. I'm still on the iPad 3 but to this day it's battery life amazes me. It's not like it's a super portable device you have on your person all day but still enough power for 10h non stop usage.

Unless we get a huge Apple TV update--this will be a huge non-event for me. I'm sure some will get excited about a spec update on the iPad, spec update on iMacs and another Yosemite presentation---but honestly, they could do most of that without a "special event".

My guess is they'll start out bragging about how many iPhone 6 and 6+'s they've sold. They'll probably ignore the iOS 8 upgrade numbers since the adoption rate has been pretty slow. They'll talk about how excited they are for the Watch coming out next year and then go into the spec updates. Really, this is going to be a non-event.

Guess I nailed it but should have gone with my gut that they'd try to spin the slower adoption rate than normal by comparing it to the ****** adoption rate by Android.

Yawn.

Unbelievable, the Mac mini still comes with a 500 GB hard drive. And while the 1.4 GHz dual-core is $100 cheaper, the 2.6 GHz dual-core is $100 more. It does no longer come with a HDMI to DVI adapter and has lost the FW800 port.

My two year old Mini with self-build Fusion Drive seems to be pretty competitive. I'm happy. :D

Edit: Wait, where are the quad-cores? They do not even exist as CTO.

Yosemite download page is coming up in the US store now, but after entering Apple ID / PW to download, it says the item is temporarily unavailable...

Maybe a few more minutes.
