Fingers crossed for an updated quad-core mini that supports DisplayPort 1.2 for Multi-stream Transport (MST) to drive 3 displays without a 3rd party Thunderbolt dock. But I'll do the latter if I have to.

I've wanted a Mac workstation setup for so long, but the Mac Pro is out of my range, and don't want an iMac because I want three identical displays such as 3 x Dell U2415's.

Also given up on a 4K for now, and am willing to give Apple TV a shot.

Apple will fix the live feed this time. They learned from last month what not to do.

I also don’t think this event will pull in nearly the same volume of viewers. iPhones are the “it” product for Apple (even over iPad) and the extra anticipation of the aWatch, the giant outdoor construct, rumors about music/U2, etc.

Heck, the WWDC event was perfect. No lag, HD video, no additional languages. :)

At least pre-order/order today. Wondering if something will be in-store tomorrow.

Well, I tried to place an order via telephone, but they're not taking any orders until the event is over. I was told that they use the same online order system so no orders until then :(

I’m wondering if we’ll get any Mini action at all, or just an internal update (something along the specs you’re suggesting) ... or something _extra_ crazy like a full on redesign? (Mini Doughnut ?)

I am at work from 5PM - 10PM UK time, so sadly I will miss the live one. :(

However I am gonna turn all of my notifications off so I can watch the keynote when I get home. :)

When can we expect the TV Truck's popular 'Bars, Slate & Music' this time?

HBO and now CBS have announce stand along subscription services. So the future of TV is looking like rather than having one bill for Comcast or DIRECTV or whoever, you're paying $6/mo to CBS, $8/mo for Hulu, $8/mo for Netflix, x/month for HBO, and then add on sports subscriptions. IMO that's a crappy future.

The total would still be much lower for most people, probably 50% or more. And if we can pay for the subscriptions automatically like Netflix via our iTunes account, where's the trouble in that?

I hope Tim has a sense of humour and puts up that slide (cleaned-up and vectorized, of course) as a joke behind him while talking, as if he's unaware of the problem for a few seconds. Laughing at yourself when appropriate is a good way to earn trust/karma/etc.

Before every single late-autumn keynote since 2011: Oh man, I'm so not really hyped up for this one.

After: To be fair, that was far more than I expected.

Well, I was all set to watch the live stream, but my dental hygienist called and asked if I could come in today at 1. Without thinking, I said yes. No wifi at this location. :(

New Mac Mini with dedicated GPU, quad i7, SSD standard, around a mini thermal core. Did I mention dedicated GPU? Maybe a GTX 870M. Come on Apple you're killing me.

While what you're saying makes a point I think it would be detrimental for Tim to do that. Just serendipitously the stream might have issues.

Ok, I get it that the Apple Store would be down, but the entire site (Apple.com) being unreachable is just plain dumb.

Apple.com works just fine. I just tried it.

how badass would it be if tim cook zoomed out onstage in an iCar.

I hope they at least say something about it, and it's ok if any new update isn't readily available. The suspense is killing me!

Yeah, the redesign is an interesting question. I had a similar discussion here before the last event on whether Apple would save manufacturing costs by unifying the Pro and mini's design. For what's considered to be a low-margin product, why continue to make it a distinctly different, just make it into a wheel! :)

Oh YES!!!!!:D

Apple updated their :apple:TV page with the new design language in late September. When they did the bottom of the page was updated to say "starting at $99" when it previously just said "$99". Any significance to this?
