So, what do you think guys? Will Apple release some hotfix today on monday or i'll have to wait until 12-14 of June for 9.3.3 with my bricked 6s. :'(

Im really very mad about being unable to use my phone from the day of 9.3.2 release, never thought that the most valuable company in the world can't hire some good program engineers to make crazy **** like killing a phone/ipad with update never happen.

In response to Samsung's ultra low power saving mode Apple innovated a ipower saving mode. It's better than Samsung's because it uses no power.
Yes it is a feature.

There was 8.0.1 which disabled all cellular functions (as well as TouchID) on iPhone 6 and 6+ that updated OTA (ie, not via iTunes). It was pulled within an hour and 8.0.2 which fixed things was released just a day later. This bug affected almost all iPhone 6 and 6+ models within a certain cellular class (ie, AT&T).

Did people have to replace them at the Apple stores?

No, the 8.0.2 update restored full functionality and since it was released only 24 hours later there wasn't much time to replace phones. Probably since this only affected the OTA updates (and not the ones via iTunes) and since it affected nearly all phones (using OTA and being of a particular cellular type), it was pretty easy to reproduce the problem and for Apple to solve it.

COOK. MUST. GO.

Keep up the good work, Tim.

Bless you, sir.
By the by, has he justified that $3 BIILION purchase of Beats, yet ...?

I have received my new iPAD after having a brickpad.
Two days for replacing it....

Did they give you a brand new one or a refurb?
[doublepost=1464065690][/doublepost]I swear to Christ Almighty, no more .n.n updates.
The next iOS on my iPad Pro 9.7" will be iOS X.
And even then I'm gonna wait awhile to see how that shakes out.

... the genius said to go to
SETTINGS>GENERAL>STORAGE & ICLOUD USAGE>STORAGE>MANAGE STORAGE

Then scroll down through the long list of apps till you see "9.3.2".
Click on it and choose the DELETE option

Really?
Tell that "genius" I defy him to show me where a user has access to iOS so much so
that they can locally delete an update. Show me a screenshot of you doing it.

The steps that were mentioned explain it all.

It won't download automatically unless the device is plugged in and connected to WiFi. And even then it doesn't start right away the moment you plug it in. For me, it takes several days from the release date before such an automatic download happens (maybe I don't leave it long enough plugged in while connected to WiFi). Before that, you might even first have to tap on 'Check for updates'. Eventually it will download automatically but if you want it before that, you have to manually tap 'Download'.

Those update settings only apply to app updates (and app, music or book purchases, note the 'new purchases' in the description below the setting switches).
9.3.2 Downloaded again yesterday. I do not check for updates, almost never - it’s quicker to come to MacRumors. When it comes to dev builds I actually find out here before the notification email comes through. I had three choices on the pop up. I think details was one. I deleted it. I’m going to see if I can block mesu.apple.com or similar.

Normally I’m against frivolous suits but somebody needs to class action these fools.

Okay, why is everything Tim's fault? He is not everyone's boss. That is why there are managers, team leads, directors, VP, and more titles. The responsibility is the one in charge of the iOS development. You can get in serious issues if a higher level employee (CEO for example) starts managing the lower level employees. I know a few businesses where if you manage employees a few positions lower than your title, you could get fired. Especially if you are a CEO.

Now Tim should be talking to the department lead of iOS development about it, but it is not his fault that this happened. And employees could very well be fired for this stuff. We do not hear about every single person being hired or fired at Apple.

Again, screenshot please.
A simple online search would quickly provide confirmation of basic reality:

Might not be his fault that it happened. Might not be his fault that it happened again. At some stage he should step in. If he doesn’t then it does become his fault.
CEOs love to take the accolades when they make loads of money, when the opppostite happens and there are problems with cash flow or product, he needs to stand up and own those too.

Sounds like he or someone high up stepped in to make the call to pull the update.

That has always been more of a general statement than an absolute truth. I can safely say that my Apple devices have worked better for me than any other brand I have used thus far.

With Apple I cannot fly my new DJI Phantom drone with iPad pro. Their app needs 9.3.2. Thanks God I have an iphone.

Again, I don't see this on my iPad Pro.
Maybe it's just for iPhones?
It's on iPads as well, and works the same way (I just deleted the latest downloaded update from an iPad a couple of weeks ago).

Perhaps you simply don't have the update downloaded and stored on your device, so there's nothing to delete?
