Please don't compare Apple to Samsung in display technology. Samsung is the industry leader, Apple just buys from Samsung and other suppliers. Apple doesn't have squat in displays. What a joke to even put them in the same sentence. Get a clue.
You must be sooooo proud of Samsung.

If microLED succeeds it will be really cool! As nice as OLED sounds, I am yet to get a single device with an OLED screen. All my computer, tablet and phone screens are still LCD-based. I guess that means OLED displays are still significantly more expensive than LCD screens. Since they've been around for many years now, perhaps it's a fundamental issue about the technology that microLED hopefully won't have.

Well let's just say, the industry (including your iPhone) wouldn't be where it is today without Samsung's innovations. I've said it many times over, Samsung's innovations are a win for the whole industry. Fact.

What is the news here?

If Apple reps were not constantly meeting with potential new suppliers and exploring tech innovations, then something would be seriously wrong.

If they are going to use PWM, hopefully it's at an insanely fast/high rate and not something slow/low like they currently use.

Also, we don't need brighter displays. They are bright enough. Too bright.
