Just got off the phone with Apple to ask if I could get Bumper purchase refunded and he informed me that Apple has begun crediting back credit cards today and will be doing them in batches throughout the week.

and what if we didnt keep the receipt and only have the bumper and original packaging? im sure most people who bought with cash didnt think we would be needing to keep the receipt for anything later. someone is going to need to call there local apple store and see what they tell them... im at work right now so i cant volunteer.
If you paid with a CC, your CC will simply be refunded. No calling, no applying necessary. Automatic.
Then chalk it up to a life lesson, eat the $30 and start filing stuff like one should anyway. Plus they make it so damn simple too. You could of had it emailed to you. I have an email folder full of receipts and online orders just in case.
You're most likely out of luck then. Showing up with the packaging and bumper doesn't let them know if you have already received a refund or not. They certainly won't give you a refund without the receipt.
There is a chance they might refund you if you were returning the bumper, but no chance if you are wanting to keep it and get the refund.
I just remembered, I DID have them mail me my receipt when I purchased from the store...but now I will have to go back in my mailbox and try to find it!! Quite another challenge entirely.
EDIT: Crap, I must have deleted my receipt from my e-mail. I never printed it out. I never knew I would ever need a receipt from this bumper for ANYTHING. There goes my $30 refund.

Why are you people not returning these iPhone 4s? What other phone requires you to buy a "bumper" to use the damn phone without dropping calls?

how do we do this? just email them? Or what? Show them my receipt from my email? I ordered my iPhone 4 and the bumper together. Right?
Luckily, my iPhone 4 and my wife's iPhone 4 are not part of the 1% with the problem. Greatest phone I've ever owned, hands down. Greatest piece of electronics I've ever owned.

My iPhone 4 works perfectly without a bumper. Not crippled.
But I'll be happy to accept the free one that's coming to me.
