Same here...I got the email and yet no refund to my CC.

Anyone else with the particular situation?

Credit card refunded this morning for two bumpers that I bought for mine and husbands phone. I had already chosen two cases through the free case ap and had planned to just keep the bumpers that I had already paid for. Not sure what to do now.

got my refund.
went in my local apple store (where i bought the bumpers)

at first they were very fishy, and they said, *they knew nothing about the refund and how it's going to work with stores... and that all they know was about the credit card being automatic refund*

So i showed them the details at apple.com

got my refund via my apple gift card :) :apple::apple:

What should i buy with that $31.45 lol

(BTW, does anyone know if we can use an apple giftcard to buy apps from the app store?)

When they refunded you, did they ask for anything other than your original receipt? I called the local Apple store, since I purchased my bumper via gift card, and they said I had to return the bumper too - then if I wanted a free bumper or case, I'd need to use the app and wait for a new bumper to come. Kinda strange.

---

This morning I went a different store than the bumper was purchased from (not the one that I called yesterday) - and proceeded to the cashier counter. I explained how I purchased a bumper with a gift card and saw that I was entitled to a refund. I brought the bumper just in case they asked for it (as the other store told me over the phone) and explained what the other store had told me about having to return the bumper, get a refund (in the form of a gift card), and then re-order one using the iPhone 4 Case Program App. The employee behind the counter brought over a more senior person, who I explained the story to. Interestingly, he gave me a refund (in the form of a gift card) without asking for the original bumper back. I was thrilled (as it was actually a much easier customer service transaction than I imagined). Then the senior employee said I could even order another case for free using the Case Program App. To which I replied, "but I already have a free bumper" now that he credited me. He said, go ahead - get another type of case. No problem, was his attitude. I thought, that's pretty awesome customer service. I think people's "mileage may vary," but I am one seriously satisfied customer. I don't understand how others on this forum keep complaining (in other strings). From my experience, it seems like Apple is turning this whole "Antenna-gate" situation into a positive by showing how they care what their customers think - even if it's just a few unsatisfied customers. Seems to me, they are really emphasizing customer service and satisfaction. Kudos to Apple.

I still have not gotten an email or any refund for the bumper I purchased in June...paid with CC from online Apple store.

UPDATE: Visited South Hills Village near Pittsburgh yesterday. Went to the Genius Bar and showed my receipt asking for a refund on two bumpers. The genius told me that was to be completed "on line".

I told her "no, not for a cash purchase" and gave her a copy of my email from Apple: down near the bottom -

Cash, check, or gift card at an Apple Retail Store
Return to the store with your receipt by September 30, 2010, to get your refund.

She went into the back - a minute later returned with a gentlemen who proceeded to show her how to give a cash refund - she did not have a clue.

Now, I will purchase an iTunes gift card and buy some apps.

I just got off the phone with Apple support because I still hadn't gotten a refund.

They told me because I didn't buy a phone I'm not eligible...sounds like everyone else on this thread got refunded regardless of how many they bought or if they had a phone.

I'm pissed. I was waiting for white. Sure I could probably return it but I have to pay postage.

Take it to an Apple store. They'll give you store credit. Use it for an itunes gift card.
