Wouldn't the six model numbers equal 2 of each color? One wiFi, one cellular?
I don't think different colours usually get a different MN, sometimes there's a different version for cellular CDMA or the Chinese market, which would explain the 6 variants (3 of each).

2019 is shaping to be a good year for product releases, reportedly a new Mini, AirPods 2, and ultimately, I would like to see a smaller version of the Home Pod to compete with the likes of the Echo Dot.

Since the large format iPhones came out, I rarely pick up my iPad. I picked up my old iPad Mini even less.
I definitely feel the same way. I have a 2016 iPad Pro which is still doing great, but when it slows down too much, I'll likely replace it with something on the lower end. A nice iPad Mini at a non-Pro price might be the thing for me.

An updated iPad Mini model would be huge. Not that I'm in the market for one, but I know there are a lot of consumers (mainly on here) who want an updated version of the Mini 4.
Me for instance. I'd like a Pro in that Formfaktor even more but I know that will never happen.

I don't care if the bezels are larger than the pro (would give another reason to buy pro), but I am hoping for USB-C and no home button

Yeah if these things have USB-C... Then Apple's probably moving over wholesale. Though I *guess* I could imagine a world where iPads and Macs have USB-C but iPhones keep lightning... I hope not though.

That's just me though, to each is own.

I'm the exact opposite. Once I get home I don't even touch my iPhone until the next day and use my 2018 iPad exclusively. The 4:3 ratio of the iPad make a much more pleasant reading experience than the 19.5:9 ratio on the new iPhones. Even The XS Max is only 2.7" inches wide while the iPad Mini is 4.7" wide and the iPad is 5.8" wide. That is a very noticeable difference.

Just keep the cheap one the same price and I am in. I want an iPad but the current line up to get what you want I can't justify.

Give me something with 128 GB under $400 and I will take it. Will be interesting to see the new pricing. This will be the first time since the iPhone we will see how Apple sets prices.

If they don't gouge in general and on storage options in particular it would indicate to me they want to push these out and sell services.

If they raise it even one penny I am out.

How about some focus on Macs?
Apple is a phone company. Stopped being a computer company 10 plus years ago. No new software aka iWorks, Aperture, Final Cut, iPhoto etc since... I can't remember it's that long. No new computers, screens since.. when did Halley's comet last fly past? Old computers, higher and higher prices, bendy iPads. Nothing new, innovative for years. I will keep my iPhone 8 plus for another 5 years. My 2014 iMac for another 3 years at least. Hopefully by then Tim is long gone.

OLED iPad Pros and LCD iPads

OLED sounds nice in theory but as I use my iPad Pro for productivity so more static screen, that sounds like a recipe for screen burn in. I think OLED should go to a premium consumer model who may appreciate the screen more for watching movies.

Perfect timing. Just this morning I had ordered a kids' case for my 2014 iPad Air 2 to give to the kids. That way each of my kids will have their own 64 GB iPad Air 2. They had been using one iPad Air 2 and an old iPad 2 from 2011, but they have not surprisingly been complaining about the iPad 2 with its now paltry 512 MB RAM being too slow and unreliable for loading apps.

I'll buy a new 2019 iPad for myself, and repurpose the iPad 2 as a photo frame. Hopefully the 2019 iPad has bare minimum 3 GB RAM though, and preferably 4 GB RAM. I won't buy if it still has 2 GB like the iPad Air 2. For the CPU, A11 would be fine but A12 would be even better.

I wonder if it will include USB-C and Face ID.

It's probably about time they double the price of batteries.

Don't get me wrong, I get a lot of use out of my iPhone X. But I get much more from my Mini 4. I'd buy a new one without question.
