Let's hope for the Mini 5 with Face ID. That would be awesome. Maybe even an iPad Pro Mini!

Imagine iPhone X style iPad mini same chassis size but 8.5 inch screen
Must be me, I expected a "/sarcasm" tag somewhere.Apple is seriously rolling out some hardware this year.
They are requesting devices with encryption features to be registered so I'm guessing it has something to do with the surveillance of their own citizens. I don't know much about the laws in the other countries listed but Russia has encryption laws to prevent too much privacy. The recent struggle with Telegram shows the effects of that. Why do the Eurasian Economic Commission need to be told so for in advance compared to other economic areas? Considering places like Belarus Russia Armenia etc are never (usually) in the first tranche of countries to get new products!
I really hope this is a mini 5. I'm a pilot and the mini is the perfect size to mount on the yoke of an aircraft... the other models are just too big. It is also the perfect size and aspect ratio to hold an approach plate. The whole pilot community here is carrying around iPad mini 4s and I'm sure we'd all like to see an upgrade.
That's the dream right there. I'll bet there is a lot of pent up demand for a new mini, especially if they add pencil support. Sure the plus sized iphones have taken a lot of their market, but there is still a need for a larger screen on the go that's pocketable, but not so large as the regular ipads. The difference between 6.5" and 8.5" would be pretty dramatic, yielding a much larger screen than even the plus iPhone.
I also think, although it's a pipe dream, that Apple should consider adding telephony to the ipad mini. Yeah I don't mind being that guy with the huge phone, but I'd mostly use it with a Bluetooth headset. It already has cellular capabilities, you already can use something like Google Voice for VOIP, but a native telephony solution would be nice as well.
Anyhow, it's probably not a mini so I'm hoping against hope.
New MacBook Pro just released yesterday, New iPads, new iMacs, iPhone (obviously), and small Mac Mini Upgrade.Must be me, I expected a "/sarcasm" tag somewhere.
Teenage me plugging along on my Commodore 64 would’ve died of delight if someone showed up and put an iPad mini in my hands. The places tech has gone in just a few decades is amazing! What a time to be alive!
An iPad without a bezel is the most ridiculous idea ever, how would you ever be able to hold it in one hand? I often false tap whilst holding the screen of my iPad 10.5" model. Even less bezels will spell the end of the iPad, mark my words. I can’t believe this rumor is still outing the wild
And, if so, with pencil support please?iPad mini 5... is that you?
Thinking of the Mac Mini? That’s where my mind went.Would new desktop machines need to be registered like this?
EDIT: Nevermind, the article states that it's for every product that includes encryption features so to answer my own question, yes.
Funny you should say that, I posted my Mini 4 for sale not long ago and it was quickly purchased by a pilot haha.
Think of all the potential use cases if it did have a notch. Boggles the mind.I hope the next iPad will be notchless like the photo.
I feel your pain but I think that mockup above would actually work. It has some bezels and adding the rejection I think it could be fine. We will see what they do with it but I'm sure it will have some bezels.Really, how would you hold one of those? I've been paying attention to how I hold/pickup my ol' Air and I don't get how I would hold something without bezels in some circumstances. A lot of the time I'm either holding it like a waiter delivering a platter, or with both hands on either end, but not all the time.
like $1000?I would be interested in a 11" iPad Pro with the characteristics of the iPhone X.
If it ends up being that much, I may not get it. It depends on what’s under the hood. I am focused on the new iPhone plus.like $1000?
